    I bought this book last week as I heard a Ted talk on being vulnerable and that talk changed my life. I'm presently in hospital receiving psychiatric care and walked to our nearest book shop and bought this book, yet I have been terrified to start reading it. So hearing you speak about the very book I have am terrified of reading has given me the courage to read the first pages. Thank you.

      I'm glad to hear this video has made it easier to start reading 💖. Brené Brown's content and language has tremedous healing and transformative power. My favorite book of her's is “Daring Greatly”. She also has a good 1-hour special on Netflix and a 5-part series based on “Atlas of the Heart” on HBO. All the best to you and your journey ✨

    Awesome video, thanks. My ex girlfriend’s mom recommended the book to me.. I didn’t know what it was about so I looked it up on TH-cam to get an idea.. this was great

    “Joy is the most vulnerable emotion”
    My suffering was endless when I didn’t want to experience joy because I was afraid that it wouldn’t stick around… that I wouldn’t be able to hold it securely… how bad it would hurt if it slipped away. I only wanted to feel joy if I knew it was a guarantee that I could have control of it forever.
    In order to be able feel joy, I had to embrace that pain might be around the corner and that that was okay.
    It is the experience of one that makes the other, isn’t it?

      Yes, we can only open up to joy, if we're open to feeling in general, which includes an openness to all emotions. ✨

    Re: #7
    Why don’t we talk about issues as they occur? Time goes by avoiding the other person and it makes it easier to keep avoiding than actually discuss it 😞

      💯 Avoidance is easier in the moment, but it chips away at the quality of a relationship.

    hi good morning
    have a good day
    so good video
    how you add sub title on your video can you tell me?

    • @DrMaikaSteinborn
      @DrMaikaSteinborn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Glad you liked it :-) If you go to the video details for the specific video, there is an option to click on for the settings of the subtitles (between comments and monetization). There you can choose to allow automatic subtitles. TH-cam generates them automatically (for English - I don't know how it is for other languages, also it's not possibele to have automatic subtitles for a different language than the video language). You can also go to the general settings for your uploads - under channel settings - and there click on something like “always generate automatic subtitles for my videos”. I have this turned on so I don't have to click through it for each single video.
