I flew from cgk to mel 3 weeks back, heard bad review about Qantas, surprisingly I found very nice staff, cabin crew and food, thanks Qantas for making my journey memorable
Great to hear. I’ve had mixed experiences. This one great, but recently a less good that I will review in the beginning of next year. Thanks for watching!
Hi Magnus. Great review as usual, well done. I have only flown Qantas once before, last March from Brisbane to Singsapore in business class. I was a bit doubtful about booking it due to poor reports on reviews but I was mightily impressed with Qantasfrom walking up to checkin to disembarking. Ground staff in BNE were extremely friendly, aircrew were friendly, attentive and fabulous. Food was excellent too. Keep filingyour great reviews🙃🙃
Thanks a lot 🙏🏻 Appreciate it! Good to hear about your experience, there are many bad reviews out there, so I felt like you. See you here next weekend 😃
So sad seeing those Thai 747s on the ground. I prefer Singapore over Bangkok as a hub for stopovers between Australia and UK/ Europe. Great review, thanks for sharing 😊
I fly QF once a year from Sydney to London and love the A380. I fly BNE to SYD and LHR to MUC so I can be on the A380. I believe Qantas are recently on an improvement trip to sort out some problems of the past years. Their Premium Eco is really good but I hope they bring back metal cutlery in Eco.
Great review Magnus I flew on the Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 from Rome to Seoul a couple years ago. The airline itself was pretty good, the service, the food, the leg room in economy but the only thing I didn't like about Asiana Airlines was the entertainment selection. Other than that is was a pretty good airline and I definetly reconmend it.
From what ive heard as a kind-of frequent qantas customer they've been somewhat unreliable from things like delays and cancellations and smth about booking flights that don't exist but i think theyve been trying to fix that, since in the past few months they havent been as bad as about a year ago, I reckon probably at least by the time the new fleet is released it'll be sorted cuz they cant keep doing that or else no one will fly them
Being a QFF Plat. myself, I must say Qantas food for Economy is the worst among all the major non-budget airline. Premium Econ is pretty alright. Business class is ok too (can't compared with EK or CX). Just don't get your hopes too high and you'll be alright. Crew has always been nice.
Thanks for watching. I always try to be fair and tell the truth about how the experience was compared to expectations. And I’ve had both good and bad experiences with Qantas. This one was great. 👍🏻
Great video, Magnus. QF is definitely not my airline of choice for either domestic or international, but glad you had a good experience. Economy meals on flights between NZ and AU come in a brown cardboard box...yikes! The transfer procedure is not the best. I just find Syd a cringeworthy and embarrassing airport, despite renovation after renovation after renovation. Arrivals is particularly a shambles at peak times, cramped and with immigration kiosks strewn all over the place (instead of in one, central spot) and some not working. If NZ can have a one-step process for passport control, why can't it be done here? Not surprisingly, the owners will spend millions on the revenue gathering areas but passenger experience and comfort come way down the list. Happy and safe travels!
SYD is definitely not one of the most passenger friendly airports. I haven’t tried it out as much as you, but my impression wasn’t great. One could wish that more airports took advantage of all technical solutions out there. There are so many things that could be adjusted and improved. Safe travels and thank you again for watching!
Domestic to international transfer in Sydney is always terrible. Creates stress at the start of your international trip. It's one reason I gave up on Qantas. Plus they're more expensive than most other airlines with similar or better service. And the lounges are often too crowded. TG is a better bet to BKK (and you don't have to fly through SYD).
Yep, definitely not an optimal solution. On my way to Australia I flew SIN-MEL direct with Qantas. And on my way back to SE Asia via Sydney due to the extremely good ticket fare on this route. Thanks for your input and for watching!
its a nightmare to transit from Sydney. It's old, cramp and chaotic. It's 2023 now and we are still being transferred by coach from Domestic to International. Suck a big time as they are so focus on Sydney.
As a regular flyer, to Europe, I've tried all the major airlines out of Sydney, always economy. They are all comparable, but Qantas is the best and BA is the worst!
Thanks for your input! I have mixed experiences with Qantas. I will publish a video of a big disappointment in a couple of weeks. Thanks again for watching!
The state of the lavatory on that plan was unacceptable. I was surprised Qantas still used an aircraft of 20 years of age. I'm still not friends with Qantas after their treatment of me in the last couple of years. We are about to embark on quite a few trips in the next couple of years. Whether I go Qantas is debatable because of that bad experience.
Sorry to hear about your experiences. I get that Australians have very mixed feelings about Qantas. Some are very proud and som not at all satisfied. It matches my own experiences. I’ve had a couple of good ones, but in the coming weeks I will also release a flight that was very unsatisfying. Thanks for watching!
Sg to London was terrible, British staff they hire are they bootcamp instructors. They’re so inpatient and rude if you have children. Aussie staff are better
I.find the whole qantas catering disgusting. They are a budget LCC at premium prices. They can't even offer the meal service on a proper tray. Appalling 😂

Totally agree. Thanks for watching!
Great vid! Love the music selection
Thanks! That means a ton. 😃
And thank you for watching!

Sorry for late reply! Great input. I’ve actually never been on a Asiana flight. Hopefully soon.
Fly safe!

That’s great to hear! Thanks for watching Gunvald. 🙏🏻
wonferful flight review mate.Great details
Appreciate it!
The staff are very friendly and impressive. I fly qantas many times and it is absolutely amazing experience.
I have mixed experiences with Qantas, but I’m really glad to hear that you’ve had good experiences!
Thanks for watching!
Same here!
I really wish the European airlines would bring back the in-flight magazines. I always loved turning to the destination map and fleet pages.
Agree 💯 😃

Looking forward to that! Thanks for watching.
interesting that Thai still has 4x B747-400s parked at Suvarnabhumi.
theyre scrapping em one by one.
Hopefully they will come to some kind of use 👍🏻
It’s been years since I flew Qantas, and looking at the food in economy, it will be years before I fly them again.
Thanks for watching!
They use the same catering company as all other major airlines. It's owned by Emerites.
So far this is far good looking food in Qantas.
In most of the flights its overcooked, disgusting and cheap taste food..

You get what you paid.
Than why Emirates have much better quality food???

Thanks for watching. I think the food on this flight was pretty good. However I’ve had less good experiences in Qantas eco as well.
Interesting you say that, considering most of the major airlines use the same catering company, which is linked to Emerites!
thanks mate make proud australian to hear good feedback australia
Thanks for watching. I always try to be fair and tell the truth about how the experience was compared to expectations. And I’ve had both good and bad experiences with Qantas. This one was great. 👍🏻
Never fly with QF for long-haul but by the looking at those cheap-looking foods, it would be a very long time before I could fly with them.
Thanks for watching!

I flew the a330-200 with qf to Bangkok, seats were very small and IFE is terrible
Had the same experience Singapore-Melbourne. Will put up on the channel coming weeks.
sad to see that those bright red ground handling equipment not servicing Qantas aircrafts anymore
Thanks for watching!
a good trip report
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching.

Being stuck in the middle of the middle Seats on this Plane is no fun. Thats why Qantas is a big No No for us
I’ve had good and bad experiences with Qantas. Let’s see next one.
Thanks for watching!
Damn it’s tiny
Indeed 😁
