- in this video number {984} How to test E4P optical encoder, i explained E4P-100-250-D-D-M-B testing using oscilloscope. this optical encoder is used with stepper motor, it is powered up with 5 volt. and it provides dual signal. both signals are established with time difference. the output frequency will depend on the rotational speed and the first signal appearance will be used to determine the direction of rotation.

Why did you switch to the FLUKE multimeter again?
i use randomly fluke 177, fluke 115, fluke 75 series, uni-t, kaiweets, aneng, and other analog meters
any multimeter comes in front, i use it
Does this encoder, that's demonstrated here, has index signal?
basically channel A is summitry signal or index signal. and channel B is compared with channel A. to determine the direction of rotation, appearance of signal B is compared before or after signal A
@@HaseebElectronics If I can recall, Index should be provided to reset counting, i.e revolution marker, 'cause most encoders have many hundreds pulses per revolution.
