If your tau list is struggling against high value infantry, you can drop the ethereal and one broadside and replace them with a hammerhead that has an ion cannon. With some extra points, you could then switch one strike team with a breacher team. 😀
Great battle report. The amount of necron wounds regenerated, seemed like a lack of focus on the part of the Tau, also being a bit too timid meant the vast majorioty of the Tau was stuck in their deployment zone.

I dont understand the Tau list being played. It's kauyon, but there are strike teams instead of breachers with cadre fireblade and exemplay of kauyon is on a crisis suit instead of a breacher team? Also there is a standard commander instead of farsight with a sunforge squad which would be far superior. I don't see coordinate to engage strat being used and why so little guiding? The Tau appear to be fighting with their hands on their back. Is there an in-house reason for gimping the list? Was it because the necron list was unoptimized as well? Tau models look absolutely amazing though. The close-ups blew my mind🤯😁

cadre fireblade has 3 attacks in close range. 1 attack, + 1 because of rapid fire +1 because of his ability.
Herotic Intervention only works on a unit who has charged. Did the Tau charge the lone necron warrior? If no charge the strategem can't be used

The shooting on those crisis suits, is a bit much with sustained 2. I get that they have no close combat, but still, wowser, damage 3 as well!

Yes Kauyon. I have an enhancement on my Ethereal that grants lethal hits to the unit it guides🙂👍

Both Strike & Breacher teams can take a guardian drone (and imho always should)
