Updating all old maps would be the best update to ever exist and could potentially revive the state of FE2 entirely. I do have another suggestion to follow up the updated maps suggestion where there will be another mode called "Old school." It's probably not a good name but it takes place in 2022/2021 where you can play the maps in older versions. Quite similar to Retro mode.
Forgot to mention Retro Mode as it would contain most of the maps that have been revamped in FE2: Rehydrated. "Old school" could work for those that are not in Retro Mode.
@@just_ducky Yeah because retro mode takes place in 2018. There are loads of maps added after 2018 that also have a rehydrated revamp. So I think it could be really useful.
The ones I agree with the most are definitely the lobby and map revamps. I think that all of the old maps should have their fe2022 maps replace them (especially lost desert, lava tower, and gloomy manor) Also some map remakes that they haven’t done yet but I really want them to do are poisonous valley, wild Savannah, sedimentary temple, and beneath the ruins
I know Sedimentary Temple is getting remaked, but honestly all of these maps should be remade. The only map from pre-2019 I think doesn't need one is actually Sedimentary Temple.
Glad to see my suggestions highlighted in the vid, thx! btw, I submitted another idea in the form. Edit: also forgot to mention, the slide blockade is such a cool twist to it, can't believe I didn't think of that!
:) I'll look at all the submissions another time, probably won't use many of them for a while though. Also yeah, it was a no brainer when writing up these suggestion ideas to include a slide blockade, especially given I already planned to rework it.
i do see the rehydrated thing working, i want it so badly. just a quick note that the map creators of the OG should give permission OR already are a part of a rehydrated map, because it would kind of be bad for the original person to not get credit, and have THEIR map completely taken out without any say.
Oh yeah, of course permission should be granted if possible (although a few creators may be inactive). I'm pretty sure the project itself credits the OG creators anyway, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Feels weird to see you playing one of the Rehydrated maps but anyway, I agree with these suggestions. FE2 is becoming very dull, even with its highlight program still ongoing. The maps being highlighted every month feels very tired and samey now. There are a lot of ways Crazyblox can spice up things in the community and the game.
Yeah, in some respects the Highlight program is a net negative, because not only is it stale (even if I like the majority of the maps that get featured), it also leads to community drama after drama...
@@just_duckyThe dramas are really tiring as well. I can't help but think that unique community events can benefit the game more. For example, Crazyblox can host an event where a group of developers gathers together to create a map in a certain amount of time while competing with other groups of map makers making maps under the same theme. The group that makes the best map is the winner and receives rewards like Robux. It's a little similar to Castle Of Calamity, made by 70 map makers in 24 hours. Or he can make in-game events like the Forgotten Tombs Labyrinth event years ago. (disney12 also recreated it in his Forgotten Tombs remake in the Rehydrate Project.) Heck, for example, in Sedimentary Temple, you pull a lever and a different path opens for you to go through the map and you complete whatever quest that has been set for you. Variants come to mind. Each map should have at least 5 variants in order to keep the gameplay fresh. (Surprised you didn't mention Familiar Ruins 2023 in the video during the gameplay of Runic Maze. /j)
[IDEA] You know how every weekend there is the special double XP event that lasts for the duration of the weekend? Well this falls in line with what I am about to say. What if XP boosts are not just for the weekend? Maybe XP boosts are rewarded alongside with the gems you gain from completing challenges? I think XP boosts or coin boosts could be a really cool feature! It would definitely gives rebirth x15 grinders more the reason.
The momentum on the slides would be absurdly broken, other people have prob said this already, but that could save so much time, and with practice, the slowdown wouldn't even be a problem, you could just cheese maps that are supposed to be hard. Everything else is good though
@@kiwiabrainlessfruit5792 You're talking about walljumps (the FE2 mechanic) right? Walljumps don't preserve your speed so I don't really know how a momentum walljump would work.
I searched TRIA's wiki for zipline leaning but couldn't find anything - also not sure if I would want it in the main game but I guess it could be cool. Didn't know about standing on ziplines though.
If you put too many variants it can ruin the sight reading too much and make players hate the map. If you are like I am, I play FE2 maps by muscle memory and advanced memory.
This is fair, and I don't want many maps to be majorly affected by variants (maybe a couple) but I still think a short portion of the map is a fair middle ground that adds more variety to maps.
I see what you mean, although it is slightly different from TRIA's wallrunning as you can control your movement. With wallruns, you're automatically moving in the given direction.
@@just_ducky but again, this could completely eliminate the problem you mentioned with bm's and some other map's walljumps because the physics change would only be subject to a specific type of walljump
@@capybarawov So, its two (or more) buttons that trigger the exact same thing. For a better idea of how it works, go to 12:17 and look at TRIA's "Path Buttons". Notice how pressing one activates all three? That's how they work.
I take your point, but there wouldn't be a big difference between them so it may as well just be a customizeable feature that map makers can turn on and off.
I'm against sliding speeding you up and adding fe2022 maps to the game. If you speed up while sliding, you can practically cheat in some crazy and crazy+ maps and become early very easily. Next, adding fe2022 maps to the would completely smite the classic creator's work from the game. "Yay! its my dream to make it into fe2 I can't believe I did.", "bro what is this map? it has better visuals than mines but my work is completely removed from the game.". Other than that, I do not agree with these recommendations as much as part 1, but they are still great recommendations and would not mind to see them in the game.
About the FE2: Rehydrated thing, the project itself credits the OG creator when you load the maps, and ideally permission from the OG creator to add the revamp into the game. I know the sliding changes would require a LOT of balance changes to work out. This was admittedly a bit unclear in the video, but when you slide faster initially it also takes a while to stop, meaning that you have to be careful when you use it.
@@just_ducky I feel like sliding should stay the same, while speedslide will exist in form of predetermined area like walljumps. This should solve the problem of unintended routes/optimization appearing, and will not cause a moments like when you wanted to air dive on slope and stay but you got flinged instead.
Ur slide idea is good but it has flaws, tria has a simular thing and nobody uses it because you can save so much more time the game would become a slide simulator
Don't get me wrong, the slide would be powerful but I don't think it would be broken. This wasn't clear in the video (this is my fault) but when I say "you slow down then stop", this is a slow process meaning that if you don't use it right it will slow you down substantially.
@@just_ducky still the tria thing is actually so broken it would also make maps like RJ free because every jump would be easier, slope idea i really like tho

I have an idea for the slide physics; walljumps maintain your momentum, same with ziplines and the like.
Not really sure how that would work as walljumps put you at a standstill until you jump off them.
