Always reference the manufacturer owner's manual (can be found online for Paragon). The cleaning instructions state, in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS, to never use water on any part of the kettle for this brand of popper.

Thanks Douglas. Im going to try and steam my kettle. I might throw in a little bit of vinegar to the water solution.
