I really had to pause the video and comment immediately…please read Stoner!! I have the same gorgeous edition and recently read it after two years on my shelf and I looooved it! An unforgettable character 🥲❤️
Of course, I 🧡💛 your shelves, especially the Classics collection 🤓. You remind me I need to read more 🚀👩🚀 books. I'm mostly envious of the doors tho, my shelves don't fit doors.....🤦 💚 Invisible Furies kept me sane while hanging around during pandemic jury duty, happy times ( not!). Thanks for taking the time to tour round your shelves, Alice.... hope the new job is going well! 😊🌻
I love your book collection! It’s so great that you‘re giving us an update ☺️ I struggle very much with wanting a big classics collection but on the other hand wanting a tbr of under 10 books. 😁
I love Tales of Protection so so so so much. You might want to read it in the original Norwegian though? I'd love to get my Norwegian to a better standard so I can read more original texts.
Loved seeing your shelves, Alice! I also get fixated on having certain 'sets' of books, I totally get it. I'm gonna shout out a recommendation like some other commenters: please read Heft by Liz Moore! Also, thanks again for your recommendation of Ninth House- just finished yesterday and... wow. What a ride. It was GREAT and I can't wait for Hell Bent! Add that to my finally reading The Secret History because of you, and my recent purchase of If We Were Villains (saving for fall) and I've had a pretty awesome dark academia reading year...
I'm glad you liked it! :D And yes, I really need to read Heft, I really think I'm going to like it. And I'm so glad you liked Ninth House! You're on a roll with the dark academia :D
Might have to do a re-read of Ninth House before the second book comes out! I read it when it was first released and now I only vaguely remember the major plot points 😅
I would never buy books solely based on their beautiful covers, however it is undeniable that you have got a lovely collection.
:D

Thank you! :D
Love your collection.
whoa, what a bookshelf tour series, beyond the great indications, it's a bless for whom, like myself, admire great book covers design
So many beautiful books. The Heart’s Invisible Furies is so good. I didn’t know about that Brontë graphic novel, I have to get it.
It's so good! :D
I think Oxford classics are my favorite and I can't wait to get some of these, but all those collections are gorgeous!
:D
The English library editions are my favourite as well, they are so beautiful. I have A Life on Our Planet on my tbr, hoping to get to it soon
:D

John Boyne's "children's book" (which isn't) The Boy in the Stripped Pajama's is short and powerful.
