Henryk Wieniawski (1835-1880) - Polonaise de Concert No. 1 in D major, Op. 4 (1852) Julia Fischer, violin Daniele Gatti, conductor Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra 2005
I shouldn't compare them in the first place, because the audio and video recording quality, and the composition (size) of the music group are very different. In this film, it is in colour, modern audio and video recording equipment with many different camera angles with some nice editing which make the concert very interesting. These little things will effect my feelings too. Not to mention that IF she might study how Heifetz, ZUCKERMANS and other great previous generation violists play and learn from them? Just saying. I think after all this version is by far the most pleasant to watch and to listen to in this day and age. By the way, she is going to give a performance here in HK tomorrow night. I hope the Severe Tropical Storm “Haima" is not going to effect the concert. You know you don’t get these chances very often.
My personal favourite version of this piece. Masterful!
PARABENS JULIA!!!😊🎉😮😊🎉MARAVILHOSO....

As always, absolutely flawless technique
Love love love Julia and this awesome joyful tune!
Bravo Maestro!!! Bravo Yulia!!! Bravo Orchestra!!!
Pity the composer only lived 45 years; anyone know the details of his life? He apparently wrote this piece at age 17, per the stats above.
It’s amazing!!!!!!
AMAZING MIRACLE
Love you Julia!!
Ça a l’air si facile quand on la regarde faire… c’est là que l’on voit le vrai génie !

The best version is Pinchas Cukerman.
best version on youtube
Listen to this, then listen to Zukerman's version. The difference in sound is what makes me lean towards his.
