I don’t get comments saying “I don’t get how people can just walk by”. Yes, it sounds great, but if someone has a schedule to follow they probably want to get that done. Believe it or not, not many people actually want to stand in the middle of a costco isle to listen to someone play. The people who stopped to listen clearly had time to spare, and those who passed by either didn’t or just did not care. It’s that simple, really. Don’t get me wrong, he sounds great, but people have stuff to do.

Ditto! It's all about "solving" the songs, for me: picking pieces harder than my current level and learning how to put them together in my head and with my hands.
youll most likely exceed this level as long as you keep up your practice (and practice well, little tip from me dont do your scales and other exercises like a robot. try to make them as musical as you would any piece. in the real world you wont ever need to play like a robot, and practicing like one will only hurt your playing.)

As adults we forget to be kind to one another, we become more cautious which is natural but no matter what be kind to everyone around you and you will see reality in a different light. We rise by lifting others up.
My man with the costco nametag page turning...clearly a musician as well.

I always found it amazing that some people are completely oblivious and unresponsive to beautiful music. There’s clearly an entire piece of their soul that’s missing.
Same thing with poetry. same thing with ballet. same thing with anything that you don't dedicate a lifetime learning. These days you just need a computer and GarageBand and voila, instant billboard top hits!
Or people just don't care as much as you do? Have you ever thought of that?
@@samhyde2339 - your point being...?
@@prometheanevent That people don't care to appreciate music when they are trying to shop for groceries. It really shouldn't be that difficult of a concept to understand. It sounds pretty snobby to complain about in my opinion.
@@samhyde2339 it really shouldn’t be difficult to understand my point. There are people who appreciate and notice beautiful things like music, art, nature, friendship, etc. and there are many who really are oblivious to some degree as they pursue mundane chores.
I’m perplexed by it. That’s a valid observation. If you want to project snobbery on my position, go for it.
I truly admire people who can play a musical instrument. I can't play because I have a tin ear and couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. But, I do recognize skill when I see and hear it. This kid is great.
The pure power of "I own the whole piano so I'm gonna use the whole piano" is being transmitted to him and it empowers him to do the same
This sounds so beautiful. The piano is such a warming Instrument, it also brings people together
"Sir.......you got the job. Welcome to the Costco family."
Hats off to purple sweatshirt Mom, making her child pay attention to something extraordinary while almost everyone else just strolls on by. Well done Mom. Well done.
Kudos to the mom and son who weren’t too self conscious to be the first to stop and enjoy this talent.
At the end: Yeah it’s a pretty good piano *Moves away*
By the way, You are awesome bro, I have subscribed to all your channels, I love your videos

It's so amazing how this music is one of an small amount of type of music that makes people stop and just enjoy it, I don't know any people to hear "regueton" and think "omg that sounds delightful I'm gonna stop to enjoy it" 😂
It’s many peoples’ dream to flex a difficult song in front of many passing by customers.
I'm doing it at the airports. Its funny when everyone pretend nothing happens. Nothings changed. I'll sit here not doing anything. Wait is that a fly?
This tells me that I need to practice
That kid will probably go on to become a pianist or a failed one that practiced for a week or so
Im the latter. I spent a long time practicing and stuff but started quite late
I have a question, is starting at 12 years old a bit late? I started at 12 and I already feel discouraged.
@@mahboombox7860 I'ts never too late

Absolutely beautiful. To hear an instrument played the way it is meant to be played is such a privilege.

And, one might find it surprisingly easy to follow along with such a song, even for the unmusical.
The “existential crisis deepens” TOOK ME OUT HAHAHA😂😂😂
I don’t get comments saying “I don’t get how people can just walk by”. Yes, it sounds great, but if someone has a schedule to follow they probably want to get that done. Believe it or not, not many people actually want to stand in the middle of a costco isle to listen to someone play. The people who stopped to listen clearly had time to spare, and those who passed by either didn’t or just did not care. It’s that simple, really. Don’t get me wrong, he sounds great, but people have stuff to do.
Also there are alot of good piano players in the world. So maybe these are musicians walking by lol!
Yea they do have a lot to do, they gotta go sit on their couch and watch tv
Also if i was there even if no one cares ab me, i’d still be embarassed to just stand in there
This is why I am not horrified by nukes anymore.
🥱🥱🥱 blah blah blah lol nd dats why all them people stressed and can't figure out why they emotionally drained. Cuz they can never 🛑 and listen. Believe it or not if that person stoped for at least 30secs or 1 min. That classical.sound could actually lower their stress for that day and the rest of the time they shop. U always have time to stop and appreciate. Stop thinking you ALWAYS have to be on the go! Cuz b4 u know it your dead and you spent your short life believing staying busy was life. Smh
this casual clip is far much better than studio solo, the relaxation of his face and movement is really master piece

I was so so proud of myself for learning part of a pretty hard song this morning. Then this popped up in my recommended. That was fun.😂
That young boy who stopped in awe was inspired!
We need to motivate and inspire the future generation. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Sharing the earbuds and video with my husband is one of my favorite experiences. The grin on his face as he listens to a virtuoso makes me happy. Thank you for sharing your gift.
It's amazing to me to watch so many people just walk by, as if there isn't a concert pianist right there playing like nobody's business.
How people are incapable of stopping and enjoying free amazing shows like this is something I'll never understand.
Videos like this are what make me appreciate a platform like TH-cam; there's so much incredible talent out there that we would never otherwise see or hear, if we didn't see it here. (Conversely, there's a lot of stuff on YT that should never been seen by anyone :O )
Seriously this is an incredible performance. His interpretation is amazing
That wee man was enthralled, Bravo to his Mum for keeping them both there and I tip my hat to you for providing such greatness.
Who walks past that without stopping, really?
This must happen on a regular basis in Costco, as most of the other shoppers seamed very casual about someone playing the piano at genius level.
Amazing performance. Thank you to the Mom in the purple sweater who stopped with her young son to really listen..... people take a few seconds out of your " got to get to the next sale ", to appreciate something so rare. Slow down!!
After playing.
Yamaha Rep: you played great, so whatcha think? Gonna buy it?
Pianist: Nah I’m good
I've never understood people who just walk by and don't even acknowledge a musician in public let alone someone like this who clearly is a master at his craft. Do they not have ears?

Yeah, children abuse is that common.
But ultimately she is wrong, they are always wrong.

HAHAHHAHA
What a downer. She probably whispered if her son wanted one or if they already have one then she probably telling her son how practicing makes you better. Not everything got to be dark yall. Jesus.
I know I'll never reach this level, but I can't help playing anyway, because it's not about how good you are, it's how much you enjoy it.
Same, except I play a string instrument instead.
Ditto! It's all about "solving" the songs, for me: picking pieces harder than my current level and learning how to put them together in my head and with my hands.
Most important thing is your enjoyment 😊😊😊❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
youll most likely exceed this level as long as you keep up your practice (and practice well, little tip from me dont do your scales and other exercises like a robot. try to make them as musical as you would any piece. in the real world you wont ever need to play like a robot, and practicing like one will only hurt your playing.)
I swear in every video like this, there's at least one kid awestruck who stays throughout the performance
