My personal problem with Fashion Photo Review wasn’t how mean Violet or Gottmik was but because in a situation like that, Violet works best with someone who has a different perspective and can push back like Trixie and Katya. Violet and Mik’s perspective are too similar and they inform each other’s opinions too much. They work together well on their podcast because they can decide what they want to do and they do stuff that makes both of their personalities shine. But with a formal review show, they need someone who can give more back and forth.

Like Violet was being fun by being really catty, but if Trixie wasn't there to react it would have come off as way ruder and less funny. I will say, Violet's been an elitist from the start, it's really wild to see people suddenly having a huge issue with it and her when she's been that way all along. Tbh Violet could be a very good host for fashion ruview BUT with queen which has different fashion taste. For example Katya+Violet episodes are great. The same thing with Mik. I really enjoyed her Ruviews with Raja
The problem with her fashion photo ruview stuff was raja played a pretty positive host. She booted near everything and let her cohost whether raven or gotmik or a guest be the one to read people. When it was Violet and Gotmik, it was too much mean girl energy and kind of changed the vibe. Violet could have read ok on it if she were on with someone like Kerri who gives more auntie energy
I really liked The Pit Stop episode Violet did with Trixie, but I think Trixie's secret power has always been her ability to bring out the best in other queens, hence her resounding success with Katya. The tenor of Fashion Photo RuView with Violet & Gottmik seemed to take a darker turn than previous incarnations, which was pretty on brand for Violet. I don't know that much about Gottmik, who did come across a bit as a lap dog even though she did make some choices that were different than Violet's. But the producers should have known very well that this could happen, and that Violet can be too spicy for her own good, so she may have benefitted from a more tempering co-host that could have kept the show on a more even keel. That said, I think it's too bad that all the Season 7 All Stars All Winners episodes of Fashion Photo RuView are not on TH-cam and that fan backlash is the reason. We are drag queens for heaven's sake! How can fans take all this stuff so seriously?!? Live, laugh, love dahlings!

I didn't agree with her fashion review for All Stars 7 and I felt she was just being unnecessarily mean...and it stops there. I live for Violet, her drag, her confidence and I LOVE her music videos. I don't know how many times I listened to Mistress Violet and Fade to Grey.

The RPDR fans can be insane rapid little badgers any time someone gives an opinion they don’t like. The backlash VC got for simply giving her opinions is insane. Everyone knows that’s how Violet is, she’s an opinionated, bitchy fashion queen and that’s why she’s amazing. I really wasn’t a fan of Violet on her season, but I’ve really come to like her off of the show. I think she’s hilarious tbh but I can understand that some people wont get her sense of humour. Violet Chachki is great! She is the reason I started watching all seasons of RPDR! She is the full package to me! Love her! Violet doesn’t sound like someone I would ever be friends with. Unapproachable. But that’s on me, not against her. I think Violet would be a fantastic loyal friend, and command that loyalty in return. And Violet is 100% worth the time. Both Violet and Gottmick make my all time favorite list. Raja tops that list though. I loved Ms Monsoon when she won her year, but didn’t make my top five. Every time I saw her, she soared up my favorites list. She is firmly entrenched number two now. Thank you to all the queens and content creators who showcase them with videos.
I used to admire Violet a lot. She‘s very talented when it comes to style and visual presentation which I obsessed, but I really don’t think her personality is great. I thought the mean girl schtick was a persona at first but it became apparent that her whole personality. I wish she could at least be more compassionate and grounded in some way because her aesthetic alone wouldn’t do it for me anymore, but you know, who am I to ask :/
Watching no gorge made me like her a lot less. She just laughs off how she doesn't know gottmiks birthday or sign, how many siblings she has and so much more. But mik knew almost everything about violet. They're literally best friends who work and travel together and violet doesn't even seem to care enough to get to know Mik. She's very condescending to her. It reminds me of a mean older sister and I don't think mik will stick around for too much longer.

Violet’s opinion on Fashion Photo Ruview were entertaining. That’s her job and she did great. I don’t think Gottmik worked as the co host as she mainly echoed Violet’s opinions. The pit stop with Trixie was one of the best when Violet was brutally honest.
About the crown, Sharon actually DID talked about it in an closet tour many years ago. She even takes the crown from a box and it’s not just broken, it was many, many small pieces….
I get her shtick. I just personally don't like it and wouldn't ever want a friend like her. All I know of her is what I see on TV and online, so in her most intimate moments she may be very lovely. But as someone looking in, I have no desire to know someone like her. Just seems like a really better than thou kind of person. Plus personally I feel that Dita Von Teese does what she does better. She took her look and gig so it doesn't impress me. Just my opinion. I could be completely off here but it is how I feel.

From the first moment I saw Violet on S7, she didn’t seem very likeable to me. There’s a reason she was picked last in most of the challenges, and it’s not editing. It’s because her fellow contestants didn’t like her either. Be it the stealing of Sharon’s crown or the incident at the night club. She was always involved. The truth lies somewhere in the middle.
I honestly do not understand the backlash Violet and Gottmik received, considering Raven is known as one of the bitchiest and most bitter Queens to ever come out of this franchise (still claiming Tyra's win after all these years? It helps breed other hatreds in American popular culture. Joan Rivers and Bianca are entertainers whose “hate” is an act. They don’t love everyone, but most of their attention has some love and respect in it. Violet is mean spirited for real. I think she will be a footnote in drag herstory…..not a chapter like Raja, Bianca or Jinx. I hope she finds some peace and joy in her life. And depth of character. I think violet is extremely talented and a gifted artist. I also think their aloof air of superiority is who they are and they shouldn’t be dragged for it. To me the bigger concern is how a lot of younger queens and fans don’t grasp how much drag has changed in such a short period of time, and don’t seem to respect those who came before them. They travel to their gigs on a road paved by those queens.
I think the problem with Fashion photo ruview was that Violet and Mik have too close of a style. Where you have Raja and Raven who have different styles and personalities, Raja more serious and Raven more funny, they make a nice pair. Even when they had Raja and Mik it was a fun combo where one had an older look at things and the other a younger. Violet worked well with Trixie and Katya because they were both comedy queens, where Mik is more of a fashion queen similar to Violet. Also a number of the "hot takes" were on some vintage style or older references which I think went right over their heads ... another reason to have one of the queens be more mature, so that they actually got the references. Did they deserve death threats and hate over it? No, that is never an okay response, and it makes me sad that the fans get that crazy over the opinion of an outfit.

I'd like to see you do a video on Leslie Jones and her livestreams of Drag Race. Sounds like she feels she was bullied off the internet for her views, but I recall hearing her comments and feeling she was basically sending her followers after queens she disliked, or who engaged in behaviours she disliked. It felt awful at the time, it might be great to see a breakdown now that its been a few years.
The fun of fashion photo ruview is when they dont agree with you. Raja and Raven were pretty harsh on the show at times too but it was all ever in good fun and I always thought it was entertaining even when I didn't agree. I love Raja, and like all of her fans I wanted to see her do well on all stars. But in a way that mademe wanna see her looks scrutinized more - thats what makes for good entertainment. So I dont get why people came for violet and gotmik for doing what the whole show is about. On Violet's season I like a lot of didn't love her but as the season went on it was undeniably clear she is freaking talented and I absolutely love to see her drag. like maybe we wouldnt be besties IRL but she is fierce and smart and I admire her for that.
The Fashion Foto Review issue is beyond stupid. It's 2 humans giving their opinion on some fashion. If you agree with them, great. If you don't, also great. How ridiculous to pretend that there's some sort of definitive 'right' decision. It's fashion, just like food , some will like it, some won't. It's a show where people are paid to give their opinion. Who on earth is so fragile they can't hear someone's opinion, agree or disagree and then move on? If you think the reviewers are consistently wrong (or have an agenda you don't agree with), just stop watching.

There are lots of stright and discreet guys that go To these clubs, for hook ups, and don't want, there faces shown on social media pages. Which is fair enough. I have no issues with Violet. I read comments that said that she is obnoxious and was rude even on her season. I think she was misunderstood much like Pearl. They both have very offbrand senses of humour where its very deadpan and if you don't know how to read that you can easily look at either of them and say they are awful people. I will say I was a bit weirded out to see Got Mik and Violet together for Ruview, they both have deadpan humour and when 2 people have that it can come across as very aggressive. Side note didn't learn much more about her. Is her stint in fashion mentioned at the beginning purely in modelling or does she also design because she always had a eye for that and that was what I was more keen to see if it existed.
Like others have said, I don't think FPR success stems on one queen, but the pairings. Violet with Trixie or Katya works because they are so different and one presenters style compliments the other (plus, Trixie & Katya are as funny AF), but I found her pairing with Gottmikk boring. Another extremely underrated pairing was Morgan and Mayhem, which I would love to see again, because again, they were hilarious, but the classic pairing has to be old skool Raja and Raven, in a studio together, giving great observations whilst ripping the sh*t out of the contestants and each other. Raja, please come back! 🥺💔

I will say, Violet's been an elitist from the start, it's really wild to see people suddenly having a huge issue with it and her when she's been that way all along. The problem with her fashion photo ruview stuff was raja played a pretty positive host. She booted near everything and let her cohost whether raven or gotmik or a guest be the one to read people.
When it was Violet and Gotmik, it was too much mean girl energy and kind of changed the vibe. Violet could have read ok on it if she were on with someone like Kerri who gives more auntie energy
I really liked The Pit Stop episode Violet did with Trixie, but I think Trixie's secret power has always been her ability to bring out the best in other queens, hence her resounding success with Katya. The tenor of Fashion Photo RuView with Violet & Gottmik seemed to take a darker turn than previous incarnations, which was pretty on brand for Violet. I don't know that much about Gottmik, who did come across a bit as a lap dog even though she did make some choices that were different than Violet's. But the producers should have known very well that this could happen, and that Violet can be too spicy for her own good, so she may have benefitted from a more tempering co-host that could have kept the show on a more even keel. That said, I think it's too bad that all the Season 7 All Stars All Winners episodes of Fashion Photo RuView are not on TH-cam and that fan backlash is the reason. We are drag queens for heaven's sake! How can fans take all this stuff so seriously?!? Live, laugh, love dahlings!

Love her! Violet doesn’t sound like someone I would ever be friends with. Unapproachable. But that’s on me, not against her. I think Violet would be a fantastic loyal friend, and command that loyalty in return. And Violet is 100% worth the time. Both Violet and Gottmick make my all time favorite list. Raja tops that list though. I loved Ms Monsoon when she won her year, but didn’t make my top five. Every time I saw her, she soared up my favorites list. She is firmly entrenched number two now. Thank you to all the queens and content creators who showcase them with videos.
I used to admire Violet a lot. She‘s very talented when it comes to style and visual presentation which I obsessed, but I really don’t think her personality is great. I thought the mean girl schtick was a persona at first but it became apparent that her whole personality. I wish she could at least be more compassionate and grounded in some way because her aesthetic alone wouldn’t do it for me anymore, but you know, who am I to ask :/
Watching no gorge made me like her a lot less. She just laughs off how she doesn't know gottmiks birthday or sign, how many siblings she has and so much more. But mik knew almost everything about violet. They're literally best friends who work and travel together and violet doesn't even seem to care enough to get to know Mik. She's very condescending to her. It reminds me of a mean older sister and I don't think mik will stick around for too much longer.

After Drag Race, Violet has become a drag powerhouse. She doesn't need DR anymore so I don't blame her for going off on her own.
Violet has admitted that she has an unreasonable obsession with waist being cinched. Her job was to give her opinion which she did on RuView. The issue is the hate from “fans”- she did her job, ok if don’t agree but she was brought in for entertainment which she provided. She is a unique and interesting queen.

I think violet is extremely talented and a gifted artist. I also think their aloof air of superiority is who they are and they shouldn’t be dragged for it. To me the bigger concern is how a lot of younger queens and fans don’t grasp how much drag has changed in such a short period of time, and don’t seem to respect those who came before them. They travel to their gigs on a road paved by those queens.
I think the problem with Fashion photo ruview was that Violet and Mik have too close of a style. Where you have Raja and Raven who have different styles and personalities, Raja more serious and Raven more funny, they make a nice pair. Even when they had Raja and Mik it was a fun combo where one had an older look at things and the other a younger. Violet worked well with Trixie and Katya because they were both comedy queens, where Mik is more of a fashion queen similar to Violet. Also a number of the "hot takes" were on some vintage style or older references which I think went right over their heads ... another reason to have one of the queens be more mature, so that they actually got the references. Did they deserve death threats and hate over it? No, that is never an okay response, and it makes me sad that the fans get that crazy over the opinion of an outfit.

On Violet's season I like a lot of didn't love her but as the season went on it was undeniably clear she is freaking talented and I absolutely love to see her drag. like maybe we wouldnt be besties IRL but she is fierce and smart and I admire her for that.
The Fashion Foto Review issue is beyond stupid. It's 2 humans giving their opinion on some fashion. If you agree with them, great. If you don't, also great. How ridiculous to pretend that there's some sort of definitive 'right' decision. It's fashion, just like food , some will like it, some won't. It's a show where people are paid to give their opinion. Who on earth is so fragile they can't hear someone's opinion, agree or disagree and then move on? If you think the reviewers are consistently wrong (or have an agenda you don't agree with), just stop watching.
Rule #1 of going to a sex club.. You don't record what's going on. Duh!! It's not created for social butterfly's. There are lots of stright and discreet guys that go To these clubs, for hook ups, and don't want, there faces shown on social media pages. Which is fair enough. It's pretty childish really so no wonder they threw him out.
And to stand outside the club screaming like a drama Queen just shows why they threw him out. As a celebrity you have a responsibility to act a certain way in public.
I have no issues with Violet. I read comments that said that she is obnoxious and was rude even on her season. I think she was misunderstood much like Pearl. They both have very offbrand senses of humour where its very deadpan and if you don't know how to read that you can easily look at either of them and say they are awful people. I will say I was a bit weirded out to see Got Mik and Violet together for Ruview, they both have deadpan humour and when 2 people have that it can come across as very aggressive.
Side note didn't learn much more about her. Is her stint in fashion mentioned at the beginning purely in modelling or does she also design because she always had a eye for that and that was what I was more keen to see if it existed.
Like others have said, I don't think FPR success stems on one queen, but the pairings. Violet with Trixie or Katya works because they are so different and one presenters style compliments the other (plus, Trixie & Katya are as funny AF), but I found her pairing with Gottmikk boring. Another extremely underrated pairing was Morgan and Mayhem, which I would love to see again, because again, they were hilarious, but the classic pairing has to be old skool Raja and Raven, in a studio together, giving great observations whilst ripping the sh*t out of the contestants and each other. Raja, please come back! 🥺💔
