  • #Wolves were once the stuff of #myths. But decades of conservation efforts have gradually brought them back to life, with the predator reclaiming lost territory across #Europe. Their return, though, has sparked tensions within rural communities and questions over how man and wolf can peacefully coexist. The Down to Earth team takes a closer look.

No attacks on humans? No one? Wolf packs will destroy an entire herd mostly just for practice and there is a limit in 1:1 dog to wolf matching a herder can afford. This is a dangerous balancing act France is performing, I hope it works and becomes a model for others to emulate.

History would say no which is why they were killed off, Still now decisions are made by people that live in cities not a farmer who has to deal with them

No, we cannot ‘co-exist’. We can however live in our own areas. Wildlife management is required. Alpha predators like the wolf, and man, play different roles in that management.

As Dawin pointed out, in nature there might be cooperation, but there's always competition, so each will have his natural enemy. In the case of h. Sapiens, that includes the flea, the mosquito, the rat, the pandemic virus, and the wolf. Sure, it would be great if we could get along, but that's not going to happen.

No, wolves need to learn they place in the food chain.

If they taste good when you cook em then sure we can co-exist. Next question.
