Don't know how it is now but I remember using Cast Iron on the v8 to significantly enhance the rumble

The V12 starts sounding like a turbine engine past 9.5K RPM

Inline 5 sound is quite low quality. I like the V8's the most. V6's are awesome too!

What did the sounds sound like before the beamng merge? I know they sound a lot like beamng now. Im wondering if it was automation that took them from beamng or beamng that took them from automation?
I remember certain engines sounding slightly different im sure (properly different, not just a different exhaust or fuel system)

Only engine type that sounds different depends on your setting is the v8; you can choose either a crossplane (which sounds like your average American v8) or a flat plane (sounds like your average European v8)

cmiiw but i sorta remember thay crossplane and flatplane V8 had the same sound, i was probably wrong considering that was years ago

Do you not understand a dyno curve? ALL of these engines fall flat on their face when going past 8000RPM. Power drops off _significantly_ after that. Spinning the engine beyond 8000 is completely pointless and only serves to cause *extreme* stress with no benefit. Nobody would build an engine like that. Was it just for the sound?
How about you try building an engine that goes to 12000 and makes maximum power right before redline... That is what your goal should be.

I think the I4_2_engine and exhaust in BeamNG should have as much RPM samples as the Automation blends. Not only I4_2, but others borrowed from The Automation game. The "permanent frequencies" should not change as the RPM increases with fundamental frequency.
