Hey Matt why don’t you get yourself a piece of plastic pipe large enough to slide over your wrap to keep it out of the sun and rain for some added protection. You have a nice set up and a decent amount of inventory. Cheers Woody !!
Since we use the bags for our bundles I have always wanted to compare sales in our area with wrapped bundles. I’m like you I don’t really want to spend the money on a wrapper just to see. Like your new idea of using the pallets you can just haul up to the roadside with the Kioti. Definitely the way to go! Take care Matt👊🏻
Those Amish bundlers are pretty awesome, I picked one up this past spring. I have an account with one of the local grocery stores and I’m working on accounts with 2 more cstores in my area. Good luck! I enjoy your videos!
Made 30 oak bundles for my 2 stands today to refill them. 1.33 cubic ft.for $5 compared to 0.75 cu.ft for $6-$8 at gas stations near me. Definitely sell way more bundles in winter than summer. Have 15 trailer loads of firewood orders to deliver. Sold 5 bags of smoking wood chunks also. Like 20lbs per bag,oak maple, cherry ,Hickory ,apple. Gonna start saving more wood chunks in ibcs for Bbq and smoker bagwood. I use 3.5" screws and 2x4s to build racks on pallets to store bbq my woods by species. Screw sheet metal on top to keep it all dry. Move ibcs or racks around with skidsteer forks to my bundler or dump into my trailer if i need it for a restaurant order. I stil have plans for making a final kiln soon. Been thinking about adding solar lights by my 2 stands to increase sales since it gets dark so early. Axis or wolf ridge VS would be great for big rounds that i don't want to lift
Hey Matt , take the belt off the conveyer and make the right side the left and the left side the right . That way the torn pieces are on the opposite side . Get all the use out of that belt !!!!
That’s a good idea. I’ll have to look at if I could take the belt off without having to cut it off. Those lace belts can me a dog to get the lace rod back out.
Just subscribe to you Again You're doing a heck of a job there That rapid machine looks very very good You gotta good set up so we'll catch you on another one Stay safe stay healthy and have a good day
It’s counter weight for the tractor. It allows me to pick up way heavier things and keeps the back tires on the ground. Also it helps balance the tractor out too.
Good to see the changes you are making in the woodyard Matt. Have you considered getting the new WR 17VSC to replace the pro28c as you scale toward bundles?
Dude i put 30 bags out at a time. I cant keep up with it. Come on man get in the game oh PS i dont hsve a tractor. Im just giving you a ribbing love your channel. I live on a very busy road in New England probably 3000 cars a day. Its my first year
Hey, Brother. Great video. Thank you so much. Chip
Thanks for watching!
Thank You for the videos, very helpful !
Your welcome and thank you for watching!
Nicely produced video.
Thank you!
Great work Matt. Glad to see the roadside stand is doing great. Make hay while the sunshines.
You gotta get it while the getttin is good 👍🏻
Wrapping is good, bagging is good. What ever floats you boat works great.
Agreed
Stacks on pallets, now you are talking! That will help a lot VS handling the wood twice to fill racks. 👍👍
Yessir I agree.
hi there good show , best to all , john
Thanks John

Yeah I’ve been to lazy to go buy some pipe haha.

Exactly, there isn’t enough difference to prove either way is better than the other. Thanks for watching Todd.
Get some light angle iron and bolt to the belt, just behind your paddles. My conveyor is rubber but the paddles are angle iron. Use an old bed frame..
Yeah that’s a way to do it too! Thanks
I do both, seems it goes in spurts of which people buy!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Good to know. Thanks for watching too.
Hello Matt, same here bags are moving fast, safe Splitting to ya 🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Great to hear!
I'd try some of the "flex glue" as seen on tv. It's by the guy that built a boat from it....
I’ll look into it. I could try some and then decide to go all in or not.

Yessir, those accounts will multiple if let them. Keep selling good product and you will have more than you can keep up with. Thanks for watching!

Very nice man sounds like your process is doing great! Having a Kiln wood be huge..
Bro, I don’t know where you’re from,…but I’d bet you could sell your bundles for $10 at that size.
Just use angle iron x3/4 inch and bolt it to belt, easy fix and it works fine, use 1/4 fender washers on bottom
And self locking 1/4 nuts
Yeah that’s a good idea but can be costly and time consuming. I can get a new belt for under $300.

That is great to hear that your bundle sales are hard to keep up with. Make some money Mat. Take care my friend.
Thank you. You too!
get it all used up never mind scaping it
what is the moisture content of that wood and the wood on the ground?
I didn’t check it with it being so dry and light. I would definitely say under 15% though.

@19:00 kindling maker in action
I got plenty of it if you need some haha.
What is a ballast box used for just to put feed and stuff in?
It’s counter weight for the tractor. It allows me to pick up way heavier things and keeps the back tires on the ground. Also it helps balance the tractor out too.

I can’t afford a second splitter myself but I do think having a vertical splitter would be pretty nice! Those 17v splitters are sweet!
Firewood at the Furnace puts a piece of pvc pipe over his plastic wrap when not using the bundler.
Yeah that’s a good idea. I’m too lazy to go buy pvc pipe lol.
Where did u buy ur bundler ? What kind and brand is it. Thx.
It’s an Amish made. I bought from the Amish in Grand Rapids Michigan.
@@FirewoodontheHill is there a website I’m in Arkansas. Do u have a contact number ?
@@walkingtalloutdoors2051 6162065100 call that number. There is no website that I know of.
@@FirewoodontheHill love your wood videos. I have a Wolfe ridge 35 sho. Good job
@@walkingtalloutdoors2051 Awesome thanks for watching!
Got a question: why don’t you put wrap on bottom layer then fill and wrap bundle
I find that I have to push the wood down when I do that anyways so I figured it was faster to put the wrap on top. Either way works
How much do you sell the bundle for.
$5
I think you would sell more wood on your loose stacks if you had a roof over them.
It could help sell some but I don’t think it would make so much of a difference that I would make more money. Ppl buy in the rain all the time.
@@FirewoodontheHillif I'm out somewhere and need some wood for camping or fishing if it's uncovered I'll pass on it and find stuff that is covered up
@@kevinmason3086 yeah that’s the reason I like to keep my bundles covered
@@FirewoodontheHill try covering some of your loose stacks to see if they go better or not

Well good for you! I don’t enjoy bundling which is why I only do 12 at a time lol. Thanks for watching.
@FirewoodontheHill I don't love it but I do like collecting the money. I'm too Cheap I know I'm going to raise my price it's my first year.
