more amazing footage sam , tope trying to eat camera!! amazing what goes on down there when you drop a bait , keep them coming always cheers me weekend up meht!!!!
Thanks matey glad you enjoyed it..it’s crazy seeing it all unfold after the trip out… I had no idea about the Tope going for the camera until after although it gave one hell of a slack line bite 👍
Nicely done, amazing how the bull Huss fought the crab to try and get at the fish. I got the tube from Nathan too. I was going to use it holes into current, which means reverse at anchor. I guess the Mac’s can’t turn around. Although I will have Rudd roach and prawns in mind
Hi matey glad you enjoyed.. yeah I should have turned it around really ay when at anchor or perhaps just unclipped the back so it was head into tide.. lesson learnt there lol. Thanks for watching mate best of luck for your next trip out.
Glad you enjoyed matey! sometimes it can be too clear over here mate and the fish don’t want to know! you get some banging fish out your way I’d love to have the chance of big hounds like you guys get .. finding one over here is like a needle in a haystack! if you ever decide to pop over there’s beers waiting bud !
@@FISHISLANDTV actually don’t think it was the same place. We was 1.1 miles from Grev. The last buoy straight from devils hole. Love your content mate !
@@callumbeattie4854 That explains it then matey you were more towards sorel and closer in so more chance of a few nice ones there… I will try some slow jigs there at some point but believe early Easter would be a better time for the big tanks!
Hi, Sam, seems you just popped into my suggestions. Now, should I Like, Subscribe, and ring the notification bell? Hmmmmmmm? Are you kidding me? Of course I'm in! That footage, that fish, seeing her taking the bait, being played, God damn AWESOME! Excellent job Sir, superb video, sweet idea popping the camera on your line, and who doesn't love the uber sexy tope (or bull huss!)? Now get back out on your kayak, we need more!!! Defo need to know about your kayak, PFD, dry suit, safety gear, etc, please mate, this kayak fishing looks like a definite wage sucker, so some idea what to spend my hard-earned on what be really helpful. 👍
wow thanks and welcome aboard! so the Kayak is a Viking reload the rod holders and accessories you can easily fit 5o them are made by railblaza. pfd is a nrs chinook and the suit I use are nookie rush. il do a video on all the gear I use etc at a later date matey thanks for watching etc !
Achieved what you set out to do Sam. Great video as usual. That spilt second heart stopping moment when the kayak tips too far out the comfort zone :) With a pound of lead to hold I expected the bait to be fully pushed in the current constantly, not floating about. Was good to see what goes on.
Great tip bud I usually do try to do that I think it’s just habit hooking both through when not concentrating. it’s how I do the whole dead baits usually.
It dosnt matter about dead baits you can book them through both lips if they are dead, but if it's a live bait hook it through the top lip only. Tight lines.
I understand buddy, it’s not for everyone I guess. I absolutely love doing it. When I was younger my Dad and I would spend the early evening catching live bait and then using them freelined for bass at first light the following morning. Some great memory’s for perhaps that’s why I like it. Do you prefer lure fishing ?
@@FISHISLANDTV I love fish and fishing and understand that even the process of simply catching fish could be considered cruel by some. Personally think live baiting is cruel and unnecessary which was coincidentally proved in this instance, when you were unsuccessful on the live-bait but caught shortly after on the dead-bait. Each to his own though. 👍
It’s always much more productive to catch out there using dead baits bud. When the bream are there in force usually if using a dead bait it lasts a matter of minutes. The live baits last considerably longer and majority of the time depending on how long I’m out there I’d end up having to catch less for bait also. Thanks for checking out the video it’s much appreciated bud.
That's absolutely awesome to see tope taking makarel 💪🎣👍 thanks for good video 👊🎣

Glad you enjoyed it mate. yeah it’s strange what actually happens down there.
looking forward to the next session already.
To hook a mackerel for a live bate, Just hook it through the top lip so the fish can work it's gills, that way it will stay alive longer.
Great tip bud I usually do try to do that I think it’s just habit hooking both through when not concentrating. it’s how I do the whole dead baits usually.
