Since iPhone 15 pro is known for its thermal issue, I’ve been holding back from upgrade my current phone to it. Now the iPhone 16 Pro has improved thermal performance, i finally could upgrade my phone with peace of mind.

They did, it's in the video. The GPU performance on the 16 pro is either the same as the 16 pro max or slightly slower, and it also runs hotter on the 16 pro. They suspect that it might be some sort of component issue.
@@Dansoo just some corrections 🙏🏻 Based on this video, 1. The 16 Pro Max is consistently running hotter than 16 Pro in gaming. 2. 固件 specifically means firmware, not component. Hope this makes everything clearer.
The Pro has a smaller body and now has the tetra prism camera (5x optical zoom). So they have less space for better heat dissipation so I guess that's the problem, so it throttles more.

It gives thorough explanations for why peak performance that every smartphone reviewer is testing is very misleading and non representative. Once you watch that video you won’t care about Geekbench scores that much anymore.

Surprisingly the regular iPhone 16 with 1 less gpu is carrying so hard. Amazing results. If it had 90hz or 120hz will be one killer gaming phone. There is enough pro features to differentiate the pro phones. From the pro res pro raw jpeg xl 48mp uw. Time to give vanilla iPhone the 90/120hz screen. Leave the 60hz for SE.
But the decoding of these Chipsets with cortex is terrible, the X4 which is the last top-of-the-line ARM has 6-width decoding and now Apple already has a CPU with 10-width decoding, there is no competitor at the height for Apple at this time, even because the A18 is based on the M4, so until something comes out in the Android world that equates to this it will take time, and I don’t see the Oryon CPU doing miracles.

我去年从12 PM换到三星Z fold 5，今年打算换到16 Pro了。苹果终于算是把这个形态的手机迭代到基本成熟了，16 Pro用几年之后等AI软件迭代成熟了，再换个AI性能更强的iPhone就行了。

@@ZhangWei0513 Fold 对于出门需要携带大屏幕设备的人很友好，毕竟方便携带。但我个人的使用情况是一年的时间内屏打开不超过100次。因为大多数的应用在外屏上体验比内屏好很多，所以完全没必要折磨自己用内屏。但三星Fold外屏相对较小，然后相对普通小屏手机又重很多。还有一个就是Fold 5的内外屏的显示效果都不如普通手机（对比手里的iPhone 12和Pixel 9）。Fold的大屏+手写笔确实不可替代，但就我个人而言，为了一个一年可能也就用几次的功能而牺牲其他方面的体验不值得。当然了，我的选择还有其他因素，比如安卓推送延迟问题，比如有些应用不开发安卓版，等等。还有就是配件的生态，三星的Galaxy Watch以及谷歌的Pixel Watch和Apple Watch相比体验差太多了，表带选择也少很多。反正一大堆自己的主观感受，就不展开废话了🤣

极客湾的分析确实不错，看完后有一个强烈的感觉，不是性能和功耗，而是苹果对于成本控制的精准拿捏，还有硬件软件的配合上的功力。先说一点，除了极客般的性能用户（如游戏，顶级影像等），一般大众真的没必要一定选择16系列。特别是13系列的用户，能找到靠谱的电池更换的话，还是很足够的。
回到正题，成本控制上库克时代确实达到了高峰。UP提到换成安卓级别的散热就完美了。但一旦换散热，机身，电池，甚至电路板都要重新设计，而且散热是每一台手机都要加上的，不像软件开发完了后几乎零成本拷贝就行。硬件是妥妥的成本，一旦改每一台出货的都要跟上，那是极其庞大的成本增加。苹果把除了芯片以外的成本尽可能压低，不到必要时候不升级，这几乎是库克时代的典型了。为了提升性能和挽回些口碑，这次真的不上一点散热不行了，那就上一点吧。苹果把最大的成本投到芯片特别是确保优先使用最先进的制程上，这个差不多只有苹果这一类怪兽级别行业大佬才能做到。说他欺负你，那是肯定的，因为他有这个能力。
再谈硬件软件配合。懂计算机的朋友估计也看出来了，苹果的2+4核心用了很久，大核心变态强，小核心变态省电。大家回看软件，iOS里面有超省电的通知机制，不需要APP常驻的（和安卓不同的），还有墓碑机制能够暂时冻结APP，如其说多工作，不如说轮流工作的优化。加上苹果手机APP大部分并不是优先优化超多核心，而是优化短时间充分利用大核，这种苹果手机APP的特色，2+4的设计非常合理的。安卓那边不容易的，开发上要混乱很多，所以安卓的SOC设计很复杂，小核+中核+大核+超大核，然后制程上去了就直接一堆大核心等，都是为何混乱的安卓生态。这点，苹果就是欺负你，因为他有这个能力。

安卓光是各家深度定制调校的系统就一言难尽，所以稳定高效还真是IPHONE，我是08年初从初代开始用，中间几年换了各家的安卓，各种BUG是问题真是一言难尽，个人觉得我用过最好用的安卓定制锤子系统偏偏又倒了。个人眼睛十分敏感，iphone x开始的OLED我是看不到一分钟就眼睛肿胀流泪，坚持到11这台最后一款LCD，12PM开始OLED的频闪要好很多可以接受了，不打游戏不刷抖音的我，为了续航每代只能选择PM,希望电池技术能早日突破瓶颈。

現在完全不想拿大隻的手機，手腕開始有點問題，能盡可能減輕壓力的話一點是一點，16p溫控表現有問題就算了，16差不多了，我的需求比較注重續航、溫度、穩定度。
目前拿ROG，但Android很多東西真的不夠完善，不然ROG的續航、溫度、遊戲穩定度都屌打Apple，不過ROG的問題也是太重了。

手持iphone15 pro，ios17的时候刷抖音都发热，升级到ios18后完全不发热，游戏发热也变小了。续航没注意，但是发热变小了续航应该有提升吧。本来15pro发热严重我准备换16pro的，但是升ios18后好了很多让我不是很想换了
