@@FaisalBash it's pretty much the same exact way, it's just that the screen LOOKS different with the interface update, but all buttons and options are in the same exact place PLUS you do NOT need the beta build for steam.
Thanks, it does work but the input lag is unbearable... i dunno if that has anything to do with my bluetooth adapter but its pretty much impossible to play like that.

@@slash92gibson The bluetooth adapter must be 4.0 and you need an extension cord, so the joycons are at most 50cm away from the adapter. And you cant use more than 2 joycons.
Try connecting them back to your Nintendo switch and then using the menu in the settings to manually unpair them from your switch first and see if that changes anything
Im having trouble remapping my joy-cons on BetterJoy. Im playing a game thats not on steam so i have to remap them. But all the button names are so confusing HELP!
With Windows 11 I'm getting an 'unhandled exception' error and the controllers don't appear in the Betterjoy window. They are showing as connected to the PC via Bluetooth. Any help please?
I dont use windows 11 so I cant really offer you any support for that. You'd have to contact the creator of the software or try using the steam drivers for joycons.

No you shouldn't. The bluetooth connections will still exist and the joycon should connect to the PC at after pressing any button. But if you connect the joycon physically to a switch they may need to be connected to the PC again via bluetooth. Additionally, you will have to run betterjoy if that is the method you use to play games outside of steam.
for some weird reason my left joycon connected to my pc but my right joycon isn't even popping up in the add bluetooth device list and I don't know what to do I have the drivers installed. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
I had to pair mine a couple of times for them to behave themselves at all. The more reliable method is if you have that grip that lets you charge them while you use them. I have one and it shows up on my pc when I plug it in to there instead of a wall charger or the switch itself.
You can get that charging grip. That lets you dock them, and plug them into your computer. The one I bought lets them both show up as plugged into my computer with a cable. You could try that.
Not sure tbh. Might need a slightly stronger bluetooth card in your computer. You can also buy that dock that lets you charge your controller while you play. The one I bought at launch detects the controllers when I plug it into my PC

I have been using the dongle that came with my keyboard. for some reason, on usb port 2.0 i managed to pair both joycons at the same time, but it's a pain to reconnect again if it unpairs. This particular driver is mostly menat to get them to behave as a singular controller. You may need to install DS4 windows or use Steam's controller drivers on top of it.

That would require a sensor you can plug into your PC. Which isnt really a thing currently as far as im aware. You can only use the motion tracking on your switch.
Every time I press Locate it keeps fucking up idk what to do like it keeps switching from dark green to right green and when i move the left joystick it moves my mouse to the top :C
@@ChupacabraTutorials I know, I was just testing it to make sure I was following your tutorial correctly, but my issue is that it doesn't work correctly and when I load BetterJoy when my Joy-Cons are connected, it shows this 3:47 but the second controller is dark green instead of the first one and I think that's what my problem is. Sorry if I sounded rude or anything I just wanna fix this issue.
@@guffitrash I don't really have a great way of troubleshooting these particular controllers. What I can tell you is if better Joy doesn't work you can download the experimental version of steam and they have drivers for the Joy-Con controllers that are just coming out

No you can't
when i try to add the controllers and click apply it just doesnt work i had it sit there for a long time and just nothing happens

Removing it from your devices and repairing worked for me

not true. you have to update steam when you turn on the beta thing for the first time. its about 225 mb

The location tool is like a press and hold and you listen for the vibration of your controller somewhere in your house
