My brother, you saved me from hours of searching for the right content. I was looking for a simpler way of doing this now my projects will sound 10 times better than normal. Salute!
AG, you know with Maschine I go back with you like vertebrae so everything you show here I know, but this is THE PERFECT video for you to put on the NI Forum. It will help those who never thought of this process real well. Great job. That Audio mode is a killer. The Time Stretch from it is Serato-esque!!
Man... you deserve way more views! Your videos are very clear and straight to the point. I've been underutilizing my Maschine for 1 year since I got it, good job!
I really needed this tutorial, I've had a mk3 for about a year now and always seem to get too frustrated with it and just walk away from it 😂 can't wait to try this out
wow once again you answered a question I didn't know i had. I've been messing with a sample but couldn't really do much with it. putting it in audio is just what i needed! thank you again!!
BRuh, ... You video tutorials on the MK3 are the best I've seen on youtube. Your clear approach to explaining the methodology is on point. I've owned my MK3 since march and have followed a few folks on youtube but their videos always seem to miss a step or dont clearly connect A to B. Keep pushing brother. Appreciate Ya. Recommended your site to a few of my MPC brethren that want to jump on the Machine +...
Thank you for this. I could not figure out how to do this. I thought I was just crazy. I didn't understand the switching back and forth between audio and sample mode either. Thank you!
Thank you for this brotha🙏🏿🙏🏿💯💯. I’ve been trying to sample on my MK3 and was getting frustrated. Now I can finally put this technique to use. I appreciate your video.
Real talk these videos have made me fall back in love with Maschine. I was really losing interest in her (I Used To Love HER) but now I see myself back on it again. 1UP Bruh!!!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🖖🏽🖖🏽🖖🏽 Man you are the best I wish that maschine or native instruments would set you up with a tour with Guitar Center or one of the other major stores
Another perfect tutorial, AG. Thanks! A helpful shortcut instead of SHIFT+BROWSER is just hit the 4-way encoder button. It brings up the Sampler / Audio module dialog
@@AGgotBeats I appreciate the compliment, my man! Glad it helped you, too. We're all here to help each other out! Loving your tutorials, man. Stay creative!
Love your channel man! First time somebody speaks in a way I understand about this software. I've been watching maschine TH-cam videos for 2 years and I still feel like I'm barely getting the hang of this thing. Any way you can showcase how to chop up a voice sample and not only matching the key but also stretching the voice sample to match the bpm while still staying in key? I know you've shown a lot of that but I feel like one video on that would help a lot of people out.
That's great. Very helpful as all your videos. I'm still struggling to find out how to do that with samples/loops whose length is less than one bar. For example 1/2 a bar or so 🤔
Hello Your video is super well explained and I thank you for it, everything is clear and precise. ps: is it possible to make a video on the clips and song view in maschine ?? if it is possible thank you because I do not understand thank you.
Love the vids! I have a MacBook Pro from 2010, I put 16 gigs of ram and Maschine glitches if I get too much going in a track. Do you think I need more ram, I think it’s an i5. I hate to have to bounce patterns down and you them as audio files to eliminate plug-ins. What would you do? Is it time to upgrade my laptop? Is the i5 the problem, is the ram the problem , or something else?
Yo AG! Lovin the maschine vids, would be dope to see a tutorial on how you should organize samples/files. For some reason everytime I sample a wav it creates another wav. I feel like this will eat up a lot of storage over time. Lmk if you have any recommendations!
In this situation I lay down the pattern then resample. This way you can time stretch the audio and if you decide to change tempo at a later date it's locked in. Hope this helps
The difference is this is real time so you can change the tempo and it will follow. In sampler you will have to timestretch again if you change tempo. Hope this helps.
I got a question: When I go to sampler in my case it displays the length of the audio in seconds (e.g 15,8s) instead of bars as in your case (2:0.00) --> @6.36 . What am I doing wrong?
Man. Great video BUT I didn't work for me. Tempo is STILL off for some reason. I followed you step for step. I was tryin' to load in some vocals and match them with my drums and other arrangement.
Ive got an acapella thats 3 mins long I want the whole acapella time streched Not just 4 bars or 8 bars Doesnt seem to work as well Only for shorter loops Why is that??
Acapellas would be the same as compositions. That’s why I touched on it in this video. When something is time stretched it takes the whole file. Some parts may not be on beat (talking in beginning etc) you will have to turn it into a even bar loop. It could be 48 bars or more but it has to be even. Hope this helps
Is this the Maschine Mk 3? I know they kinda ruined the Komplete Kontrol Mk 3 by taking those two big, fat and in-living-color led screens and replaced them with the cheap 8-segment-led look so I was hoping they didn’t cut the same corners on the Maschine.

Good looking for the game.
Can I preview loops while playing my track back like in other daws?
Check my recent beat I uploaded I appreciate it .

Today I time stretched a drum break. Turned around and resampled internally. Then I was able to slice the stretched break🙏🏾
AG have you ever used Serato Sample?
Yes I have.. it’s dope!
AG Got Beats I bought it but can’t get it to work for some reason, I need help with it if you can?
Great tutorial, does the sample need to be 4 bars, would this timestretch work if this was two bars?
Yes, it will work for 2 bars. Thanks for watching!
Say you slice 16 pads of a sample. Do you repeat the process shift select audio? Or do you time stretch then slice 🤔
In this situation I lay down the pattern then resample. This way you can time stretch the audio and if you decide to change tempo at a later date it's locked in. Hope this helps
is this the same for vocals
Im completely new to maschine. how did he prehear his files without loading them?
The way you do this for a sample and a drum loop can you turn a whole group from sample to audio after i chopped a sample in a group?
You can only do it per sound.. But in a situation like that I normally resample the group, then time stretch the resampled audio. Hope this helps.
do you use the same technique with machine mk2
Yes, works the same way being they all use the same software. Thanks for watching!
What's the difference between pressing browser and pressing shift and browser?
Browser opens sounds, groups, instruments etc.. Shift browser opens up Maschine's internal plugin browser. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@AGgotBeats Thanks man. But would shift browser be the same as pressing the plug in button on the top right?
Not the same. That button allows you view the settings of plugins that you select.
Awesome! does this work on Maschine Studio too?
Thanks for tuning in bro!
AG is this just another way to time stretch as opposed to going about it via the sampler/edit/stretch/settings way?
The difference is this is real time so you can change the tempo and it will follow. In sampler you will have to timestretch again if you change tempo. Hope this helps.
@@AGgotBeats Indeed, thanks. This way is much easier than the other.
Agreed! This was a nice added feature
Same technique for stretching work for MK2?
Absolutely! As long as you have the latest software. Thanks for watching!
AG Got Beats np. Thanks for the video.
Sounds like the drums from that joint Pharrell joint with Common and Mary J Blige.
I got a question: When I go to sampler in my case it displays the length of the audio in seconds (e.g 15,8s) instead of bars as in your case (2:0.00) --> @6.36 . What am I doing wrong?
AG where are you from sir?
Harlem originally.. in Charlotte now though
AG Got Beats that’s what’s up bro, I’m from the philly area but I live in Delaware now
My aunt is about 3 hours away from you in pike villa nc
AG I would like to talk to you about the MK3 personally.
Hit me up on IG
Does this work for Maschine Studio as well?
Levester White Media yes it does! As long as you have the latest software
Man. Great video BUT I didn't work for me. Tempo is STILL off for some reason. I followed you step for step. I was tryin' to load in some vocals and match them with my drums and other arrangement.
Ive got an acapella thats 3 mins long
I want the whole acapella time streched
Not just 4 bars or 8 bars
Doesnt seem to work as well
Only for shorter loops
Why is that??
Acapellas would be the same as compositions. That’s why I touched on it in this video. When something is time stretched it takes the whole file. Some parts may not be on beat (talking in beginning etc) you will have to turn it into a even bar loop. It could be 48 bars or more but it has to be even. Hope this helps
Now all I need to know is how to chop 🪓 it
Dope! I have a video on chopping as well. Here's the link th-cam.com/video/KmOtArzIGpo/w-d-xo.html
Is it even Possible To time Stretch a sample in SAMPLE mode so that you can still chop it?? im having one hell of a time trying to do that.
Yes but you will have to time stretch before you chop it. Go to sampling, edit, then toggle on right screen until you see stretch. Hope this helps
@@AGgotBeats This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!!
@@cameronhawkins4877 no prob!

I was trying to stretch my sounds in the sampling edit tab like a dumbass all this time
Hey.. it’s room for all of us to improve. Better now than never. Thanks for watching!
@@AGgotBeats Hey do you know how to do this on the MK2? When I hit shift/browse it says None, Sampler, Input, and Midi out
Why does all maschine sampling tutorials are just drum breaks and not actual songs?
This is how dilla would do it ❤
This Programm always has the Problem to find the right Source Tempo.
Thanks man
