Oh man great music and nice build! Frame off....you nailed it. I love that music and searched and couldnt find the band. Then I see this was uploaded a decade ago...yikes we gettin old. I love Astros.
That is good to know thanks, I probably would have found that out the hard way after selling the old 4.3. I got my FI 350 complete with all the accessories and now just need to find a good van to stuff it into.
The fullsize G-vans use the same TBI linkage but the 4.3/5.0/5.7 TBI units are all the same minus the injectors and vacuum fittings on some applications. On my Vortec head TBI 350 making 425 HP I used a 454 TBI unit modified for the front pull throttle linkage. Absolutely flew in my 83 G20.
The harness is the same but gm made 5 different size injectors. You need the right size for your engine and the right prom chip for the pcm. Otherwise it is fairly simple.
Don't understand why you go to all that trouble and then hack the hell out of the shroud. Why not just use electric fan, and that would also unclutter engine bay. Haven't seen one smart person yet. Every V-8 conversion, same ugly, impractical cooling. Everyone...

Thanks. It answered my motor mount question. I’ll be doing same swap in a G20 van.
That’s awesome! I want to do this!

Thanks for making this video I have a 1995 chev asto and I just purchased a 305 block thinking of doing the samething
The 305 won't do squat for your HP/weight and worsen the already nose heavy van's crappy handling.
Fucking beautiful bro. Fuckin beauty.
Wonder how a 454 would fit? Now that would be a smoke show
It would fit fine. change out fan

Where did you purchase those motor mounts? Thank you and nice build!
Did you put bigger brakes on front
is the sub frame easy to get out and was the motor easy to get out did the new one go in easy? i want to do this to my van
cool video in putting a 93 v 8 350 in my 92 astro
You pulled the engine out through the front? I Thought they had to come out the bottom.
cool trailer @ 4;52
I’m doing the same thing but my question is: what you do to the computer and injectors? Is the same electric harness?

Do you have a website where I can view the pictures by themselves so I can print them out?
Are you using the stock TBI fuel injection and ecm on this swap ? 4.3 throttle body or 5.7 ?
Turbo ala Syclone- less weight on an already nose heavy van. and leave the hoist alone.

need to upgrade to ls motor
My mildly cammed vortec TBI 350 made more than that at the wheels.

Or you can just cut the fucking shroud and be done with it.
