Edelgard must be thinking that if any of her siblings had survived they would be a lot like Lysithea. Most of em were older but she had a few younger ones and you can really tell in those scenes, like, "I shall appease my survivor's guilt by buying you tons of cake"... Then again, half the cast tried to adopt Lysithea, she's just very adoptable.

If Lysithea had supports with the Death Knight he would cure her fear of ghosts, it would go like this: Lysithea would find Jeritza straying around in his Death Knight armor and would be scared because he looks like a ghost, but then the Death Knight would also be scared, which would finally lead to Lysithea reconsidering her view of ghosts. In their A support Lysithea could be finally confronting Jeritza, totally unaware of him being the Death Knight, of course and then they could bond over sweets.
I’d say Lysithea’s worth recruiting to the Black Eagles just for her supports with Edelgard alone; their supports do an amazing job at fleshing out both characters by showing why Lysithea acts the way she does. Personally if I had to endure terrible experiments that resulted in my life being drastically shortened I’d be a bit snippy like her. Also it shows well that Edelgard isn’t just a ruthless bloodthirsty tyrant; she is capable of showing compassion and empathy towards Lysithea with the fact they both endured the same things

Also, if you guys bothered playing with Japanese voices, its more both sides treating each other with genuine "concern". By that I mean "like children pushing themselves too hard" (with Lysithea snapping because she doesn't want to be treated like a child). Actually, just play with JP voice in general and she starts sounding less whiny and more genuinely frustrated. And more importantly dialogue changes.
Can we just talk about how good the Ignatz support is? She gets to be more honest to herself since everything she is saying to Ignatz is actually her saying those things to herself. Especially the line “You can play at being a mature adult, but it only ever complicates things. And that’s what makes you look like a child”. In Claude’s support, she starts to accept it while in Ignatz’ support she actually understands her flaws and she is a really smart charecter so it’s not like she would have a hard time seeing her flaws if she actually looked. That is exactly what Ignatz makes her do (although the poor boy does it pretty unwillingly)
Surprisingly I like Linhardt, Lorenz, and Cyril as the main non-MC ships for Lysithea. That'll be an interesting decision whenever I get around to a Golden Deer run. Or if I recruit her to the Black Eagles ;)

The goal was to show her more flawed side as one of the main themes of Three Houses is that it isn't a utopia where everyone gets along with no qualms. That being said, I really wish we got a B+ where she actually apologizes to him given that the B support ended with her realizing that she might've gone too far.

Can we just talk about how good the Ignatz support is? She gets to be more honest to herself since everything she is saying to Ignatz is actually her saying those things to herself. Especially the line “You can play at being a mature adult, but it only ever complicates things. And that’s what makes you look like a child”. In Claude’s support, she starts to accept it while in Ignatz’ support she actually understands her flaws and she is a really smart charecter so it’s not like she would have a hard time seeing her flaws if she actually looked. That is exactly what Ignatz makes her do (although the poor boy does it pretty unwillingly)
