6-8 knots is a good starting point
I am in the process of wanting to get prepared to run these lures. What is your rig setup- mainline? Leader? Reel? Pole rating? Speed? Do you retrieve the shorter distance lines when you hook a fish further back?
Can you please explain the best setup, as far as line type/size, used from reel to the lures, including leader. I understand you should be using a good length of mono (for shock absorbtion) for Wahoo but I think it is affecting how my DTX 220 is running.
What rod class are you using for the 220 ? I’m looking at running a spread of a 220 200 180 165 and a madmacs can I use shimano 30wrslas on rods rated for 50-80 or do I need a bigger rod for the 200-220 like a 50wrsla and a 80-130 class
Yes, we would recommend going for the bigger set up. There is a lot more pull and drag pressure required for the 220s
In Northern CA when going for BFT we generally
Put Madmacs 200-300 yards back. Do you think that is helpful for BFT trolling around 15 kts? How important is it to have Kure in undisturbed water?
It looks like he’s using different sizes setups can anyone provide an some info on what outfits you use for trolling these as your not pulling massive leads what line class do you guys go with

what about when u do turns tho... just no sharp turns ?
Just like fishing any other spread, keep the turns nice and wide. I would probably bump the throttles a bit into the turn to get the lures to run deeper.
