Watched this video for the first time about a month ago. I then went to 180 feet in the Gulf of Mexico and put this same spread out during the last hour of daylight. Trolled at 10-12 knots. Within 10 minutes the long flat goes off (MADMACS 200). Fish made one heck of a long initial run. Got him to the boat and landed a beautiful 30 lb wahoo. That fish made our whole trip. Love the products. Thank you!!!
How come the madmac doesnt come with tremble hooks? For price we’re paying shouldn’t that be the standard since I see your switching out the single hooks?
I see you are mostly braid with a mono shock leader. How long is that shock leader? And my boat does not high speed well until we hit 16knts occasionally hitting 18. She just falls off plane. Is 16 knts (18 MPH) too fast? If so i may make someone sit in the bow as I really want to try this spread and get away from pulling meat. We typically highspeed with cowbells or Blue Water Candy knockers.
@@NomadTackle They’re easier to crank in than the divers also. Could running 2 madmacs either side out wide and one DTX down the guts in close be a good spread? At 40-50m for the madmacs and 20m for the DTX from a smaller boat.
I love nomad, I’ve been using them a lot and had many catches, but idk why the DTX Minnow can’t troll at high speed, they hold up to 8 knots maximum. On the other hand the Madmacs are just amazing they hold the 15 knots beautifully. Greetings from Ecuador 🇪🇨
The hooks that come on the lures are basically barbless, please sell them with better hooks. I love the lures, we are forced to change out the hooks because of the (basically) barbless hooks that come in the box
Thanks for your feedback. We found these hooks suit 'most' fishing applications. But is difficult to have a hook to suit every application when ranging globally.

That's epic Sam! Tag us in some photos on your socials! :)
Huge help on the distances and lures, thanks for the vid. We’ll see how they do in Florida on the gulf coast coming up soon
Go get em!
i love this guy

The underwater shots are amazing. Great product, also, what contender is that?
32 foot
I'll be ready to try this in January
I troll a 4 rod spread what would you troll as the 5th lure and what position and what other nomad spreads you recommend (4 rods)?
Thank you

Strange that you filmed this over two trips
What size rods are you using? Those are International 30w right?
We have been using 50lb rated Penn international rods with a 30W
Also, I see wire with a haywire twist. What lb wire is that? And what length? We do the same thing for King Macs here in NC.
We usually run a foot or so of 174lb single strand
Hi mate, how do you stop lines crossing when you hook up? Do you crank the other rods in first? What size madmacs do you recommend on spanish?
Yup pretty much get the other lines in and out of the way ASAP. Madmacs 130s, 160s

We recommend you need to run DTXs at least 60m back to get them tracking true and deep
is shimano 30W good enough for trolling nomad lures?
Depends what species you are chasing. But yes, should be no issues.

Thanks for the message - The new DTX180HD is the fastest DTX yet. If you're wanting high speed performance this is the DTX for you.
They troll better when you set them back further and take all the normal hardware off (game fishing snaps etc)
what size are the reels on the straight butts?
Penn 50W
When is the madscad 190 AT coming to Australia?
Early this year :)
When are the madmacs going to start coming with treble hooks on the rear?
No plans for that at the moment, we found they swim better with singles. But you can switch out to a treble if you wish
berapa knot kecepatan untuk troling lurr high speed?

I prefer barbless, in fact I file the barb off most of my lures.
@@Smokeyr67that’s dumb ,why
I saw a video they troll at 13 knots between 200 and 600 yrds and they catch alot of bluefin tuna with it
What pound test leader you use
Anywhere from 100-150lb
30lb setup big enough?
really depends on what calibre of fish you're targeting. 30lb would be too light for big wahoo
what lb strength enough for wahoo ?
