    So, I had a can of tuna, I added spices ( chicken rub spice) that’s what I had. 😊 added 4 eggs, added water, prepared my griddle with butter. The were great! It made about five tortillas. I made a B L T. with it. Thanks for sharing the recipes.!

    Technique with the chicken tortilla.....Swirl the batter in the pan first as much as you can and then lightly brush/ spread the liquidy top layer around and out to the edges with a silicone pastry brush to get it thinner, round & bigger. Also, put each tortilla individually between a piece of paper towel & stack on a plate when taking them off the fry pan. Keeps them pliable. They came out very flexible.

    Perhaps the chicken one would be good as a pizza crust replacement (personal sized). I was always a fan of a regular pizza with garlic butter sauce in place of marinara sauce.. then for the toppings I would have Italian sausage, grilled chicken and roasted red peppers, with plenty of cheese. I think this would be great! Thank you girls!

    I've been making these for breakfast tacos and didn't even know it! I cook them in bacon fat, because I always have extra in my fridge. Fill them with scrambled eggs, bacon or fried ham, sautéed bell pepper, cheese, and salsa!
    You can also swap crushed pork rinds for the almond flour in chaffles. That's what first inspired me to try it as a tortilla. I have been making chaffle breakfast sandwiches a lot lately with cheddar instead of mozzarella.

  • @dominicflorio5708
    @dominicflorio5708 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    The pork rind is the basis of what you can do. Add mozzarella to give it more flavor and consistency. You can make a sweet waffles, or a savory flatbread. I like to add a couple tablespoons of nutritional yeast if I'm doing bread or waffles. The mix you made was plain and you can't compare it to the seasoned chicken.

    I haven't liked many of the bread recipes I've found on the internet so I developed my own bread recipe. It's not exact because I eye most of the ingredients. It's similar to some of your recipes, so I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out. First, I melt 2 tbsps of butter and put it in a bowl. Next I put about 1/2 to 2/3 of a cup of almond flour in the the bowl (on top of the melted butter). I beat 1 large egg and add it to the bowl. I add a pinch of salt and some Italian seasoning. I add about 1/4 cup of mozzarella shredded cheese, and then I mix it with a whisk. At this point it will be rather thick, so I begin adding half and half to the mixture slowly, and mixing it until becomes a thin paste, not to thick, and definitely not to thin and watery. I spread it on a cookie sheet with parchment paper until it's about an 1/8" thick, then I place into the oven for about 20-22 minutes at 365. I find that it tastes great. I would like to make pizza with it. Good luck ladies.

    Interesting! The first tortilla looks like it would work better for soft tacos. But the second tortilla seems like you could dress it up for many different applications. I saw someone in the comments mention personal pizza, which sounds incredible -- but how about using it for a gyro or pita wrap? It looks thick enough!

  • @PaulaZF
    @PaulaZF ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Hi ladies!
    I love how you find the recipes and bring them to us. Here are two things I’ve discovered recently.
    1)Nuco Organic Coconut Wraps (original flavor, they also have Turmeric and Cinnamon flavors).
    We found them on the mark down shelves for 50% off. But I don’t remember what I paid for them. Amazon has them a pack of 10 for $14.19 or $1.42 each. Ratings are 3.7 stars with over 7000 reviews.
    They are square, 8 inches a side. They remind me of fruit roll-ups or fruit leather, very bendy with no breaking. They only taste a little like coconut and I don’t like coconut. I took a roll up added two slices of provolone and popped it into the microwave for 20 seconds. (YMMV) Then I put a huge handful of salad greens in the middle and added a little dressing. Wrapping it up is odd. It’s best to lay the food from corner to corner. Then fold up one corner near the food. Then fold over the two side corners to wrap. That should keep it from dripping.
    Other info: Total calories: 70; Total fat 5g; Total Carbs 6g with 2g dietary fiber, 3g Total sugars and no added sugars and Protein 1g
    I like them, but they are pricey.
    2) I recently discovered that non-stick pans can be problematic because the fat gathers together and rolls to the side. Then none of the fat gets on the food in the pan. What works well is cooking spray. The goblets of oil are much smaller and stay where you spray them!
    I hope these are useful.
    Take care,
    Paula

I don't remember all the details, but her channel is called "stay fitness" and I think the title was 1 ingredient chicken chips. I meant to eventually try this, but I didn't. I would love to see the Keto Twins test kitchen try these in your quest for the perfect chip, maybe using those flavors you bought for the cottage cheese chips. Btw , I tried those and could not believe they actually work! So good. I doubt the chicken chips will top them but I'd still love to see what you two think! I'll probably try this chicken tortilla! Hi ladies, seeing this video on replay, question, I saw recipe for 'corn' tortillas that I'm interested hear your comments on b/c you've worked w such a variety of ingredients. I think it calls for hemp hearts, xanthum gum, almond flour, lard etc. I'm not supposed to post a link, right? I think it was Serious Keto or something like that. Heard of thia recipe ?

      My Crash Test Life blog has a recipe which she says is a dupe for Tates brand which is a thin crisp cookie. She has many interesting sounding recipes. i haven't tried it yet myself but hope to soon.

      @@johnnafarrell3336 You clearly misunderstood... If you are going to bash someone else efforts of creating a keto type 'flour' you should be ready to back up your statement. Nothing weird about that.
