Western Wednesdays | Hiking | Mourne Mountains

HIKING IS BACK TO THE CHANNEL.
Hiking where the channel started. Last Wednesday evening Stephen and myself hiked around some of the lesser Mourne Mountain range. We where hiking for near three hours taking in three summits. The hike was just over four miles. It was great to be back out hiking again. We intend to do a few more mid week hikes. Happy hiking.

Great hike lads love the western Mournes it's got a real chill relaxing feeling there. Compared to other mountains in the Mournes. Definitely not a bad way to spend a Wednesday, great video 👌

Another great vid Geoffrey. From experience with you bottle pouches!!! Be careful if you jump over or off something that your head doesn’t rock forward and the top of your bottle knocks teeth out !!!

@@robertmccrea1957 thank you Robert. Flip I’ve never actually thought about that, I’ll keep that in mind, valid point. Hopefully get back into the Mournes this week some time, just need the weather to be a bit nicer 😂.

Great hike and video Geoff, watched it this morning. I remember all that area well, never too many people about and fairly easy walking. We came down the nose of Rocky Mountain and it wasn't too bad. Those peaks might not be the highest but are definitely well worth going to. We attempted to cross the bog to Eagle Mountain but had to turn back as it was deep and dangerous. Have you tried that? @@ashleyjarnold morning Ashley, cheers for watching. No we haven’t to eagle that way yet I’d say it would get very boggy. Yea I like the lesser peaks especially on a night like that when you can watch as the clouds roll over the higher peaks.
