Hey I grew up around carb engines, currently learning about wiring and efi. putting a 2.3t into my 87-90 mustang. From what I gather, I simply wire my 87-88 vam pigtail to the egr wires, and then move from pin 33 to 43 on my la3 ecu. Sound about right? Is there another step I'm missing to get it running? Na 2.3 has a distributor, NOT 8 plug.
Where did you get that reference sheet? I am using a screen shot of your video for reference while I am repinning my eec, but would like to find the actual sheet you are using in the video
No. You can use a auto ecu in a stick car, but you cant use a stick ecu in an auto car. In your case a svo is stick and a LB3 is an auto ecu, so you dont have to worry about it. Same speed and just as aggresive. You will need to repin harness though
@@MultiChipsta thanks, knew about the repinning. I asked because I just saw a video about the A9L and the equivalent auto ecu for the 5 liter. The guy said many of the strategies are different and not a good option, e.g., IAC strategy among others. I’ll also add the ATS when I install my LB3

Look up rothfam.com/svo/reference
I bought an LB3 ECU for my 1985 SVO. Anything I should worry about? Or same procedure?
