In GoPro, you paid for the name, in DJI, you paid for the technology.
The DJI Osmo Action 3 is way better than the GoPro, at least my GoPro10. I can't stand my GoPro10. It overheats often and shut off the camera, the battery doesn't last more than 20 minutes. For me, the Action 3 is much more reliable and the image and video quality is just as good as the GoPro. I am an owner of Gopro 7, 8, 9 and 10. I've left the GoPro bandwagon.
I have seen such an uptick in videos for the action 3 lately and i guess they got super popular because all the local stores have empty shelves .
I have heard the go pro over heats and crashes if u film for long periods
What Lut do you suggest for coloring action 3 footage?

Once people get over 5.3K vs 4K DJI wins every time. When a video is uploaded to TH-cam or Instagram the difference between those video settings are not even noticeable.
Gopro’s dynamic range is better than dji
My GoPro over heats and glitches all the time. Does the DJI do this as often?
No the DJI doesn’t. That’s a common GoPro issue

Hi matt! What was the latest update on DJI OA3?
Hero 7 Black on motorcycle handlebars AZ & NM & TX heat often shuts down or says repairing which code for lost my footage. Does Action 3 have that problem?
I've leaning towards returning mine and just sticking with my phone for POV type filming (fishing, vlogging, exploring). What do yall think?
I think it depends on how often you plan to record. If it's an occasional clip, then your phone is great. But if it's for a lot of filming, a dedicated camera may be better.
@@mattgonzalez Also depends on how good you are with a phone and how good the phone is, my phone is cheap so its not suitable but my action 3 will do everything I pretty much need.
I don't know of a phone at this price that has the same quality. I would not hang a more expensive device on a stick out my car window while I'm driving but thats just me
Seeing the screen is the isdue with mobiles. At least you can see the screen on the DJI.
I recently purchased.. osmo action 3 .. I got a battery.. but I want to take extra batteries... Amazon doesn't have original dji batteries in India.. can you recommend third-party batteries

I think it looks to "crunchy" because you used it without nd filters! If it's sunny, the kamera need a very fast shutter speed, so it looks "crunchy"
No, I mean in the details of the image. It seems over compressed. NDs only affect the choppiness of movement.
chrunchy is usually means over sharpening and lack of shadow/highlight subtlety.
What is the stick you are using?

Does it overheat when recording?
action 3 keeps recording much longer than hero 10/11. Also, no reports of over heating damage for the Action 3 yet or crashes. Action 4 will overheat and stop recording like the heros ( likely because of bigger cmos sensor therefore more processing heat).

Absolutely love the quick attachments but it's just not reliable. It's waterproof capabilities is sketchy. Had it in a pool today for less than 5 minutes and it malfunctioned. All ports were closed. Water got into SD card slot which destroyed all info I filmed the last few days. The card now requires format before I can use it. It's currently drying out and will not come on at all. I really wish I had not gotten this camera. I've had it for 9 months and haven't been impressed with the image quality overall. If it won't come back on I guess I've got a new paperweight.
DJI is pushing it's marketing skills to sell this camera. But in reality GoPro is the right item.
huh that weird i literally abused the crap of my dji action3 in a swimming pool and had no problems till date whatsoever

I wouldn't say it looks a little crunchy. I'd say it looks downright unusable. The footage from these cameras is so unbelievably grainy. The compression is either extremely aggressive or its just not a good camera. Kind of disappointing considering that their drone cameras are unbelievably good. Hope they fix this with the next one.
Loved everything about the Osmo Action 3 except I could not get it to Livestream. DJI tech support admitted there are issues with it. I'm back to GoPro.
I just got mine a couple of days ago and so far, I have to say, I am very disappointed with the quality of the footage. Grainy as hell. Today I shot some stuff limiting the ISO to 1600 (max) and still it looked subpar. I suspect that the decent quality you are gettting is in bright sunlight at 100 ISO. I like a lot of things about it, but really underwhelmed with the footage quality.
(4k, 25, HEVC (wish I could just H264), Cinelike 10 bit, ISO 100-1600)
Its a great camera if you get nov or dec batch whit focus issue fixed. Unfortunately you can buy it cause no shop got these delivered from dji and its unowned when a new batch wil reach dealership. They made a great camera bud cannot make enough units to the market.

i really wanted to get a GoPro but theres alot of videos floating around about how the DJI is much better.
I guess GoPro is going to have to do some layoffs to get that price lower to possibly take back some market share. 🤔
