Thank you for this! I’m currently dating someone who means everything to me and she’s half Iranian. I’d love to learn Farsi but wanted to start small. Thanks a lot!
Finally!! I found what ive been wishing for a toturial persian lesson..million thanks for you madame...merci!! Merci!! Merci!! Now im following your lessons..im not confused in using farsi words.
I recently met an amazing Persian woman with whom I've become very close. Thank you for these lovely words to communicate with her in her native language (although her english is impeccable, too). It will be a nice way for me to embrace her beautiful culture.
Thanks for your feedback, Melissa... quite a bunch of my viewers had asked me to do a video on love words, but I guess your questions reminded me again :-)
Yay! Happy dance. My video I just added I was headbutted in but so funny. No matter what you gotta smile. You are an amazing soul lady. Im sure you've touched alot of people's lives.
It is some time I've had this tip to share and then there is this Persian tutorial I have the chance to introduce tha Iranian attitude towards this magnificent bird. In Farsi culture an "owl" is sinister and inauspicious. As it flies over a building, as the superstition goes, the owl brings destruction and famine. Therefore next time, will you teach the Persian equivalent of "owl". By the way remember to say the middle "m" in my name three times longer and louder. Thank you
Salam ! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge :) as today I have learned three words ' shirin'am , eshgh'am and doost-et-daaram ! Plus, I need your favor, can you translate some Farsi couplet for me? Asr-bakhair . . .
@Farsi Wizard Thank you so so much. You rock 🙏 Farsi/Persian is hard to find via Google Translate because 'speech output isn't available for Persian'. Hence, your translation here is much appreciated. 👏 💐 🌹 🌸
We don't have an exact translation for that, but in the classical literature we had "yaar-e jaani" ("friend of the soul"), and in modern literature "nime-ye gom-shode" ("the lost half") has been used.
I love the way you explain in your videos - but it would be so much more helpful to students if you displayed the individual words in English phonetically as well. Sometimes with your accent I'm not sure if I am hearing the right letters... especially when a word trails off.
Thanks for your feedback... I have already done a video on "wh" words, but perhaps I can make another one on the sentences you mentioned... great suggestion :-)
