- Comparing four of the biggest arcade racing games available on PS4 in 2019. Need For Speed Heat (PS4, Xbox One, PC), The Crew 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC), DriveClub (PS4 exclusive), and GRID (PS4, Xbox One, PC). These will most likely be the final big racing games of the generation before the Playstation 5 & Xbox Series X release in Holiday 2020. Which is the best in terms of graphics, gameplay, sound, weather, rain, cockpit view, features, etc? Let us know! Car used in this comparison is the Ferrari 488 (GTB, GT3, Pista). Perhaps next-gen will finally produce a driving game that will surpass Driveclub.

To this day driveclub is still incredible and so far ahead of it's time. I wish it would have gotten a PS4 pro patch. 6:34 is nuts. Look at how the drops of water move on the windshield in the turn. Holy cow

@@googlehatesme1247 they can increase the effects + ray tracing will make it next generation level , otherwise it is one of those rare cases in which the game has achieved photorealism .
Yugveer Singh Ka BAAP yes, ray tracing makes your reflection life like and if they add gi, it’ll look real good. Driveclub didn’t use gi or raytracing or anything, but still, has achieved this kind of quality in a ps4! They did a really good job

Nah its handling is arcade fella, every car feels similar. No difference between RWD, AWD, FWD, apart from acceleration

Heat hands down has the best night time and back fires of any game i have ever seen
I dont like those backfires, cause they dont seem to react to the cars speed.
@@caiaffa_matheus what? backfires don't follow the speed of the car they follow the rpms and usually only show up when you let go the gas. Jaguar has made a name with pops and crackles, which is the same thing but with less gas so it don't create a fireball. If its a tuned car it could be ANTI-LAG, also cars will start to shoot flames as it get hotter which is why in some videos the flames get bigger the long the car revs or races.

@@rorodollars I meant to say that the flames dont change if the car is turning or really fast, it seems that the flames are aways shot on straight line despite the inercia. I think that would add a layer of realism to the graphics, just like the water on windscreen on drivecrub that reacts to the inercia. Gasses on the exaust should as well react if the car is turning, so then they make a tail while exiting. Specially in those higher speeds, when the resistance force of the air is verry high.
@@caiaffa_matheus oh ok but it would look weird sports cars are made to not have a vortex behind the creating drag. This is why even in real life flames will often shoot out straight as there is no wind directly behind the car.
Nfs heat graphics looks like an instagram filter, i played it a lot and it is fun with that car sounds buy the graphics are ass seriously i played it on ultra and it's really ugly

Man they set the bar too high too early with DC. It practically shits on any racing games to date in terms of visuals. PS4 was truly a masterpiece.

Thanks for the video really enjoyed it. We all know who the winner is when it comes to speciall effects. The one thing that the game can do and not seen in any other racing game is the way the rain water moves depending on the cars movement, so realistic.

The Crew 2 for the win. BUT, Drive club is INSANE for the year it was released. I mean, being compared to games released 5 years later. Driveclub was way ahead of it's time.

Nfs heat grid and driveclub has the best graphics.
If only Grid uses better engine or even implement Driveclub engine, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.. the lighting on GRID while impressive but it's just a static lighting. Once the light source is dynamic there's no rendering of it (find any shadow from enemy's car by our car light in Grid you won't find any)
NFS Heat though looks great but I don't think i want to play cat and mouse again with cop. Just take too much time. Plus the price is too high..
Driveclub’s graphics are unmatched but its such a damn shame that the gameplay was trash. It looks so good for dropping in 2014. Hopefully the developers of driveclub can come together and create Driveclub 2 with the same if not better graphics but better gameplay for PS5.

Unfortunatelly very sharp graphics doesn't bring enough profit, so like Crytek, the studio is in danger...i hope Sony apreciate quality more than money...well done Driveclub

Nab 191 drive club sounds too subtle, and the blip sound when taping on gas is very realistic gear changing as well in tc2, drive club shifting is just the same with other cars, not supposed to in a Ferrari. And the handling is just not good at all. I’m using fanatec csl elite ps4.

All Driveclub needs is to tone down the ridiculous tire squealing when turning, make the handling slightly more sim, reduce difficulty when driving in rain, add some actual circuit tracks to the game, add a bunch of newer cars and most importantly add a 4k 60fps patch!! Would be the all time best racing game if so. Imo.

Sure it could be far better just like how The Crew 2 could be far far better, but no, neither games suck.
Just two very mediocre racing games and in this sense as a thrilling/fun racing game... NFS HEAT is better than The Crew 2. TC2 racing is quite mundane sadly. But people find fun in it in their own way in TC2.
