Great video. I used it along with three others on TH-cam to educate myself so I could replace the plugs on my Honda Fit. I have a 2008 Fit GD3 with the L15A1 VTEC engine with four spark plugs. I have 66,065 miles on the odo. I installed NGK Laser Iridium number 1ZFR6k-13 which is one of two plugs the owners manual calls for. The other is Denso. I bought the plugs at AutoZone for $19.49 each. I did NOT use anti-seize compound on the new plug threads because NGK's website specifically says don't use it since the threads are coated. The two ignition coils on the right side are a bit difficult to get at to remove so if you DIY you'll need to be patient and have pretty good dexterity.
thanks for video garage wanted 838.oo to replace coil packs and 4 plugs on my 2007 Honda fit i replaced all myself in les than 1 hour for 60.00 ..damn what a savings for me ..thanks for video...
@Uniroyal Mish I just got a set of 4 "genuine" Hitachi-branded packs from eBay for $150-ish with shipping. I'm suspicious of them being actual Honda parts, but the reviews were pretty positive so I took the risk. Mine's been missing really badly as of late; I basically stopped driving it, so I'm really wanting to try out the replacements.
I bought everything I needed, the very first coil I tried to remove was absolutely STUCK! The top half came out and I tore the rubber boot trying to pull the rest out w/ needle nose pliers. I guess I'll just drive it over to the mechanic on 3 cylinders.😕
Great video! I have a different (but same) problem. I had the cutting out - shorting out behavior for a bit. I noticed the wires that connect to my coils over the spark plug - were probably shorting through the weak plastic covering. Maybe that covering is wearing out. I taped them up with duct tape and it has worked fine for a couple months. I want to get a new wiring set - and cannot find the part number or even the part name anywhere. Can anyone help on this? Is it called the COIL WIRING HARNESS or something like that? I looked through dozens of YT vids, searches online for a diagram with a part name or number. Cannot find anything. Mine is the 2004 Honda Jazz / Fit 1.6 DSI engine with 8 spark plugs (4 cylinders). MANY THANKS FOR ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!
Jim Zheng you need 1 per cylinder. these cars have 4 cylinders and they are all interchangeable. I would stick to the Hitachi brand ones. I got mine from AutoZone.

lol - yeah, that's usually how these "easy" quick jobs go.
Did you ever find a trick to get it out. I’m currently having the same issue
OMG coil pack 4 can shove it some where I cannot get the bolt loose. Mine is 2009 does not have as much room as you do
Anyone know the firing order for a 2007 Honda fit?
