- Here are 11 things to do before your flight. When I travel, I prepare for takeoff the night before. By following my travel tips you will not forget any of your travel essentials for your flight. I pack my carry-on bags at home with my food bag and liquids bag. I get my electronic cords ready for the airplane. I do some things in airport security, as well as things I do inside the airplane before takeoff. I am so glad you can prepare for takeoff again! Have fun!

I’m not a religious person, but I enjoyed the prayer said over the intercom during my flights to and from Egypt and Morocco.

@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Parts of Morocco are beautiful, particularly the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara. I liked Egypt better, though, because of the ancient sites. The people in Egypt were SO nice and welcoming.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who does those things before a flight. I think the tip to move out of the way when repacking your stuff after exiting regular TSA screening (not necessarily Precheck) so that you don’t hold up the line is GREAT advice.

10 years ago when I was 17 I took my first ever flight and it was to Canada with my grandparents. My grandmother (who is my best friend) held my hand and my grandpa's on the other side during takeoff and landing and prayer the entire time of take off and landing. And then we did a prayer to thank Jesus for a safe flight. It was an amazing trip and I was blessed I got to share it with my grandparents. We went to PEI and saw Green Gables which is from a book series my grandma started to read to me as a small child.

I say headphones. Lol love your videos and super helpful tips as I'm super nervous about my first flight since my immigration to the states from Russia when I was around a year old. Now I am going to Cancun Mexico for my first flight since and it will be a blast but so much to learn. I love that you shouted out the importance of prayer and Jesus and His divine protection over the plane and the passengers. I love your channel! The night before a flight, I always pour out a little bit of water from a water bottle and freeze it. I use this "ice" as a cooler in my clear food bag. Just make sure to drink the melted water before you go through the TSA line. Also, I put a big note that says FOOD on top of my suitcase so I don't forget to grab my food bag out of the fridge! Forgot it once and had to pay big bucks for unhealthy food at the airport! I try to find a chapel in the airport to enjoy quiet time and pray for safe trip. On the plane, in addition to wiping down what you mentioned, I wipe down the window shade handle and overhead fan buttons. And I say a prayer on the plane too!

I always keep my tech carged b4 a trip. I download the apps as soon as I kno to and they can stay on my phone till the trip. I always learn the international emergency numbers for where I’m travelling. We always get travel insurance. I’ve never thought of praying for a safe flight but I love that idea!!!

Thank you so much for these super helpful videos!!! I don't always comment but try to watch them when I get a notification. I am a nervous traveler.....I am not normally anxious in my every day life but the anxiety is pretty tough to deal with when we fly. Being prepared, not forgetting anything, packing ahead of time, doing the tasks you mentioned about charging every thing the night before and getting to the airport early have made airline travel much more enjoyable for me. I have learned so much from you!! I really appreciate the time and thought you put into these. And yes I always pray not only in my every day life but also for safe flights!! Great tips and I can't wait to use them! Wouldn't it be a nicer world if more people said a little prayer before any adventure. The only thing I'd add is throwing an empty water bottle in the personal item and filling it when through security. It's a life saver on those long flights with rare visits from the cart! (I think you had this on an earlier video!)

So excited. We're flying soon for the first time in a year plus! Going to take a Mississippi river boat cruise! This will be a rookie experience for us. Fun to not only travel again, but to do something we've never done!

I know this is stupid...but when I walk onto a plane, I touch the outer hull snd say “Hello, Plane!”. My goofy ritual...but I also send a protection prayer out to the pilots, crew and passengers when we approach take-off. Everyone should start a trip feeling blessed!!
