Wow I'm glad I searched by recent upload date. I love Weedeater interviews, love seeing a favorite bands with accents from home. Dixie's just so fucking cool man. He gave me one of his (empty) Evan William's bottles at the end of the show when I saw them. I completely bruised and bloodied both my knees up against the stage. They sounded EXACTLY like the record, except better. Also, kids, protect your ears. Get some quality earplugs that don't ruin the sound, just quiet it down a bit. Weedeater is SO LOUD THAT THEY START BREAKING UP YOUR EARDRUMS. It truly sounds and feels like blowing out a set of speakers lol. I can't say enough good things about Weedeater. I just really fucking wish that more doom/stoner metal people knew about them. Also, dope interview.
you probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown =)
I took my brother see these guys right before everything shut down. It was awesome, down in Iowa City where I've seen Neurosis and kylesa, these guys and the opening bands were fantastic.
I would hardly describe Dixie Dave as an introvert. Dude loves being the center of attention, he just doesn’t mince words when it’s time to explain his music, because it’s cave metal. It’s not some massive intellectual exercise. Get loud and fuck shit up
A lot do. Especially in the doom/stoner community. Not to say you're wrong at all but I can say, as a bass player who has played and owned both there's tons of players that use both. And both have their own unique sound. The best rig I've ever had, my current one, is a mix of both.
"my method is turn every single knob on it on 10 except the treble on 0" goddamn weedeater is the fucking realest, rawest shit

I agree it is easy to play but hard to come up with cool riffs....
Iomi is the legend of this. Simple catchy riffs so hard to come up with but by god do they sound good even if easy to play

Evan Williams hat ftw
Fk yea
Why does he keep pushing him on the tube amp thing? Bass players don't use tube amps.
