I was skeptical about the bail until you showed adding the resin on the back. Brilliant!
Those pendants are beautiful!
Thank you, new to polymer clay never knew resin was so easy to use. I watched your hearts video, love your work so professional. I love how you explain every detail, so it's easy for me to understand and follow. Can't wait to try these. Would have liked to see the UV lamp and how it works, maybe next time. Hope to find many more of your videos on TH-cam. Keep'em coming.!

Other than not being able to see Pumpkin, that was another great video. Thank you again for sharing.
Thank you. I have always had trouble with my UV resin shrinking back in and I think the resin you are using will do the trick.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. after watching this I ordered everything I needed to get started. many thanks. x
Thanks for the demo and sharing the tips and techniques. I love the owl.
1tinac my pleasure 😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have been so excited after I learned from your last tutorial it would be posted soon. I appreciate how you do not rush through directions and you go step by step. It is very helpful for people that are trying to learn a technique. Please keep the tutorials coming :)
Thank you Sarah 💜💜
I love your works they are absulotly nice and of course your pumpkin 🐱 you are so patient in teaching.thank you.
I have just discovered you and subscribed! #1 Your Art Jewelry is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ! #2. You are an OUTSTANDING TEACHER!
Beverly Frederick Thank you soooo much Beverly! 🤗💜
THANK you for this!!!!! I really needed some trustworthy info on resin!!! 💖💖💖
Thanks for the info, really helpful. These hearts are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing all your great videos
Glenda Mitchell Thank you! It’s my pleasure! 😊
Alison, thanks so much for showing how you use both Deep Shine UV coating and EZ Dome UV resin to encapsulate pieces all the way around!
These are so beautiful, I can't wait to try them. Thank you sharing your ideas. I can't wait to see what is next.
Was not expecting this so quickly. Good to go now from start to finish. Thank you.
Great info on how to apply. Now I need to buy these kinds of resin!
Hi Alison. This was such a great tutorial on resin. I have always been a little bit intimidated by resin and now I feel like I can give it a try according to your tutorial. You are an excellent instructor. I love the way you were so thorough about explaining everything in detail. Thank you so much for sharing. LuLu💕
LuLu Kellogg Atelier Thank you! 💜
I really appreciate seeing how you added the bail.
I used epoxy before epoxy was so popular. But this gives me ideas that I could have a much faster drying time and include it in so many other ways than I’ve been accustomed to. Thank you for your videos. I love that you have a pet menagerie around you too!
Awesomeness.. Absolutely Beautiful. Thank you for showing how to finish the Hearts
Minky Toms Thank you!
I will be creating beads in future tutorials 😊
thanks for the technique on the UV resin ...I been using 2 part for yrs but, UV is new to me and I luv it ....had to test times while pieces were under the lamps ...nice to know I am working with it correctly :D thanks again Alison ...hugs to Pumpkin!
I would have loved to see the us lamp and how you put the piece in. Everything looks so nice. I am thinking this may make great coasters. I love your work. So so beautiful.
Wow! I worked with polymer clay years ago but did nothing like this! Thank you for sharing cannot wait to get started!
Thank you so much for this lesson. Very beautiful work that you do!
I love working with resin. Cannot wait to try this. Thanks.
Thank you Alison! So interesting videos! I casually discovered this channel and I would like to thank you for so interesting free videos, ideas and useful info&tips for working with UV resin... I also love it... I started, like you, with epoxy but I love "istant gratification" 😅 and UV Resin is now my perfect/preferred medium, I also teach it in my workshops! Thanks again! 💖
Thank you Alison! You make using resin look so easy, can’t wait to receive my order from RJ Crafts.
Thank you Nita 😊
Thank you so much for sharing. You work is absolutely stunning.
Erika Brown Thank you 💜
Well that is just brilliant. While I love the look of domed resin, and love it being on both sides of a piece so it looks finished everywhere... but could never figure out how to make those skinny little sides look equally finished. Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!!!!
Great video. I’ve always been nervous about using resin but you made seem like it’s easy as long as you go slowly. TFS
So beautiful
Thank you for showing this tutorial I have been using the 2 part resin and will be going to the uv soon
Really informative. I’m one of those people who have avoided UV resin, and I still use the 2 pack kind, Ice Resin. However, after watching this, I’m so tempted to try the UV type. TFS. You achieved beautiful results!
I love this set! Thank you so much!
Love your last video and excited to know more about the resin! Thanks for sharing !💞
loved watching they are so beautiful.. you made me chuckle when you said everything becomes and item to make a mold out of or use for texture... my husband now asks me before he throws out something are you sure you don't need this for your polymer...ha, ha... love the guy.
Great tip about hanging the edge off the tile to keep it flat.
Great to see how you do it. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love your technique! Thank you for sharing. The resin is on backorder so i must be patient😁 Newbie to polymer clay. Your instruction is spot on. Many thanks again😍🤗
Thank you , perfect explanation, beautiful work.
Gioconda Leon Thank you! 😊
Thanks I may need to try your resin techniques out on some bent wood and antler rings I make. I tried resin before with no success so I reverted back to .CA glue. CA doesn't hold up to wear and tear for long. I need something rock hard and ultra glossy.
Thank you - wondered how you did the edges xxx
Love your work. You are a true inspiration
SELENA SYLVAIN Awe! Thank you! 💜
It looks so nice finchesinished with resin, I am going to have to deal with my fear of it, you make it seem so easy.
Kialaya A. It really is easy once you get past the fear 😊
Thank you so much. Now I'm ready to give it a go
I know brands change, what brands of resin do you now recommend for these two or for replacement options?????
Quick question...I normally work with two part epoxy resin. I have pieces that are four and five years old and still have not yellowed. What is your experience with this UV resin, will it yellow over time, and if so, how quickly?
Otterly Charming Thanks for your question. I used to use 2 part epoxy resin exclusively. I have had those yellow over time. When I switched to ArtResin I never had that problem again. The UV Resin I use I have only been using for a little over 2 years now. It has not yellowed yet 😊
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox Thank you so much for the quick reply!
Hi there. Can you please tell me would the powders you used be any good stenciled onto a journaling bible page, which would be white, unless I paint it black to make the colours pop? Would a spray sealer/varnish coating be any good to stop the powders from rubbing off the pages after its been applied with the stencil. I have used the spray sealer on pastels before and it protected it perfectly, and now I am very eager to give the powders you used in your video, a try in my bible. I think they would look spectacular!
Carly Charlesworth are you talking about the color shift pigments from my latest tutorial? If so, they need a black background to work. Otherwise you don’t see any color other than brown or rose color. They are strange pigments but beautiful on black. I’ve not tried them on a painted surface, only polymer clay.
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox hi there, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Yes I did mean those powders. I was wondering how they would look on a black painted page or panel? What do you think? Does it sound feasable to you?
Carly Charlesworth I’m not sure how you would apply them. I’ve only used them on raw clay :/
I don't recall you cooking the clay before screenprinting? Is it not cooked to cure before decorating? Also, what is the UV Light for? Is it because of the type of resin, I have only used the ones you have to mix?
Hello, I struggle with UV resin but love the look. Seems I spread it and put on edges first and use the up flashlight. Then I coat the top. Then I put in up lamp. Cook til hard but it’s not smooth. I’m watching your video now. Any other tips? Thank you.
A little sad😢 tiny pandora no longer sells the owl and elephant cutters, or the stencils for the hearts.
Is there anywhere else to get them?
Now I need to know how to use the resin! 😍😍😍😍
Omg I have been waiting for this video thank you so very much I love you.
fatima arcaro 💜💜
What is the square block you are using? I'm mesmerized by your work. I never thought I'd want to get back into using clay. I loved it in college but for making tiles and pottery, many many many years ago. your tutorial caught my eye and I have another item on my crafting to do list.
Missy Reed Thank you 😊 The white square is a ceramic tile I like to work on. They can be found at Home Depot or Lowe’s in the bathroom tile section 😊
These are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I know this was posted sometime ago and am trying to locate the RJ Crafts resins you suggested. I am in Australia and with the current covid situation there is no shipping happening from the US to Australia. I love the fact that you found a uv resin that doesn’t warp or pull up. Do you know of any other uv resins that do the same as everything I buy seems to warp.
Super nice project, thanks for all the great info. I have a couple of questions. Instead of pouring the resin out onto your silicone leaf mold and then pouring it back into the bottle, can you just use the toothpick directly from bottle to edges? Also, I really like that little owl. Is that a mold and silkscreen that's available somewhere?
TYFS your knowledge and tutorial ❤️👍🏻
The link to the owl transfer isn't any good any longer. I was wondering if that transfer is sold other places or limited to that website? Thanks
how long do you cure Tiny Pandora resin? I tried to resin the arrows with Holographic nail foils.
Margaret Gobrick the Tiny Pandora UV Resin is strictly a brush on resin, not to be applied thick like a doming resin. It only requires about 5-6 minutes under a 36 watt UV lamp.
Very informative. Thank you! 💜
Hi there, any idea where I can get the owl kit from, please?? TIA
Very helpful information, thank you :)
You have shown adding black glitter to the resin for the back which I think is a great idea. Do you also have glitter in the second coat for the back or just plain resin for the 2nd coat. I have probably missed you saying what you do. Your projects are so inspiring always.
Lee Roddy thank you 😊
Second coat I use just resin.
Thank you. Need to try this.
This is so helpful. Thankyou
I loved the silkscreen tutorials of the hearts and also the elephant and owl. But when I clicked on the link to order these kits The page said the items could not be found. Very disappointed. Does anyone know how to order these kits?
Great tutorial, thank you! Do you have a recommendation for another UV lamp? Tiny pandora is out and I'm impatient. ;)
Renee S Thanks! Yes, this one on Amazon is awesome too!

Where could I order the elephant and owl molds?
Excellent video! Interesting surface treatments are my favorite technique! I have a rather large supply of the Chinese UV resin Rhonda used to sell, so I need to master the anti-curling process. Which of your former videos shows this? Also, I am assuming no hands were hurt holding the piece under the UV light when curing the sides 🤪. Beautiful work. Thanks
Maureen Houston Thank you! 😊
I tape the pieces down to a tile near the end of this video here: th-cam.com/video/yQl1iPBWjpw/w-d-xo.html
I hope no hands were hurt, these are the lamps they use in the nail salons 😲😊
Alison, Thank you for the excellent video. I have a question. Do you ever have an issue with the resin on top going over the side of the polymer clay piece? I've been having that issue no matter how flat I think my piece is.
Great tutorial. I just love your teaching style. Can you add the bail after you put the resin on the back? If so, what adhesive do you use?
Carol Bryant Thank you 😊
You can or you can add them before resin and cover the back half of the Bail.
If you apply after resin, E6000 works well. I prefer to add before applying the resin as I feel it’s more secure.
My UV lamp only goes to 60 seconds. Do you know of one that you can set for 30 minutes? Thanks for all of your information. You present it very well and understandable.

Thanks for sharing feel more comfortable will Lisa P magic gloss work as well
Wow I really love these,Unfortunately Pandoras out of them right now ,,But you can order it even though she's out I guess make a backorder on the herts ,Great video thank you for the tutorial.
Fantastic video! Can you leave the pieces out in the sun to cure? How long would that take?
Patrice Bake thank you, yes you can but they will take much longer. I’m not sure how much longer as I haven’t tried it, only with the UV lamp.
Thank you! Can you tell us what you use to clean up I am the messy crafter of all times!
Ramona Temple I wipe up as much as I can with a paper towel and then just follow up with some isopropyl alcohol. 😊
I too enjoyed the video so much and was excited to purchase a kit. Unfortunately, Tiny Pandora was bought out by a company that no longer offers all these marvelous things! If anyone knows of such a kit, I'd love for them to post it here. Thanks so much.
Steph Hatchett Thank you Steph 💜 you can purchase a hearts kit here. I will ask them if they will start offering an elephant and owl kit too 😊

Wondering why you can't use the resin dome for the side.?
Hi Allison...what resin and what process and procedure do you recommend for pieces that are not completely flat? I have small pieces such as you have in this video but they are detailed in 3D...also...is that the only way to do the edges? You have to hold each piece in the UV lamp? And few minutes with the Tiny Pandora resin is long enough to cure it?
Hi Karen. My suggestion is you use a soft brush and a light layer of this uv resin. You can do edges and everything. It won’t drip if brushing on a light layer and can be placed under the uv lamp for just 10 minutes. @@ThinkingOutsideTheBox Thank you so much Allison...I just saw this now...I did see some more of your videos where you showed how you held the pieces for each part of the edges you coated...I was thinking of sticking them on some tacky stuff like someone mentioned...and I will send pics of the little pieces I am talking about...but I will order the resin and brush you mentioned too...I've been busy for a few months having joint replacement surgery and not doing too much artwork...going to get started up again soon...Thanks so much for being You!
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox PS...I have one of those little UV flashlights that I got to detect cat urine too that I see you use sometimes...I think the thing with the 3D surfaces is maybe I have to put on a few light layers to build up the resin from the lowest to the highest point...I will send pics soon...
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox Sorry to bother you again Allison...I just tried that link and it says page not found...
@@karena.buckley1190 sorry about that. Here is the correct link to the brush on UV Resin 😊 fthsupplies.com/ez-brush-on-resin?AffId=1
Beautiful.
Thank
That resin is no longer available
What do you use now?
So pretty
I learned last night that you shouldn't put holes in your beads BEFORE you add resin. LOL Drip, drip, drip
I just bought a 36 watt uv lamp and Pavelka resin. Now dry the resin has pooled into different places, some covering the piece, other not. It’s as if it has dried in puddles. HELP...What am I doing wrong? thanks, jill
Jill Lloyd-Jones it could be the uv resin you’re using :/
I recommend Limino, I’ve never had any problems with it 😊

@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox hi there, Thanks for this, unfortunately I can’t find it in the UK. Would you mind looking at the bottle to tell me the manufacturers address. I am hopin it may be available in Europe. Jill
This UV resin in out of stock and unavailable. What do you suggest to use instead?
angela walker I spoke with RJCrafts and it should be back in stock soon.
Here’s a quick curing UV Resin that I also like to use: www.amazon.com/dp/B07FJNGC4R
I love all your work & tutes so thank you! I did want to express concern for your hands if you're just holding the pieces under the lamp so the sides can cure... you're going to age the heck out of your hands with the UV rays. Either full gloves or ones with the fingertips cut out are suggested.
So I'm an old time crafter but totally new to polymer clay and resin. I really hope that you are getting referral fees (Sincerely Hope) from all the companies that you use in your excellent videos because I have bought EVERYTHING! Seriously, everything from every video that I've watched. lol :) :) :)
Aquagirl11111 Awe! Thank you! I do get some from some of them 😊
Thanks for watching my videos! 💜💜
Just tried resin and the deco art color shift paint after watching your tutorials.
Pam Crandall awesome!
Hi, I just received my UV resin from RJCrafts. The first batch came out great, but now the pendants are sticky to the touch around the edges. What could be causing this? Thank you
Sherri Kellberg I’m not sure. How long did you cure for? Were your pieces done using the technique in this video or something different?
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox Yes, I followed your video. I cured for 30 minutes using the timer on the Melody Susie UV oven from Amazon.
Sherri Kellberg I’m not exactly sure then. You might want to contact RJCrafts regarding this.
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox I will do that, Thank you for your help.
Or order the kits at? There sites don't open up.
Is it possible to “cure” more than 1 heart at a time in the uv light?
Eugenia Roland You sure can! 😊
Not sure if I missed it but do you bake 275 for 60 min for the hearts too?
Maxine Collin yes 😊
Thank you
Thank you!
Do you have to bake the polymer clay?
Trisha Suggs yes 😊
Hi! You said you were going to put a link to a uv lamp from Amazon as well ? I do not see it with the other links.
twentyeightandholdin ooops! You are correct. I’ve added the link now 😊
Thank you Alison !
Does the EZ dome yellow?
Joyce King no yellowing. I’ve even set it in sunlight for over a month. Still clear 😊
Only problem is that the resin pulls away from the edges any suggestions please
Stephanie Nelson what resin are you using that the resin is pulling away from the edges?
@@ThinkingOutsideTheBox I'm using Lisa Pavelka
Stephanie Nelson that’s why. Unfortunately that resin does that.
Stephanie Nelson time to change resin. 💜
What is I=the brand name on this kit?
Shared this one too.
