Nice and easy talk through. I’m about to have a go at cleaning my Bering suit after 5000 miles. I know Motolegends say to turn inside out, but FAQs on storms website, say not to. So i won’t be. One thing Chris at Motolegends did say to do before going ahead, is to run the machine empty, to flush out the old detergents, which may be lingering. I’ll be doing this first.
Did you do a waterproof test afterwards?
Hey up Wayne, I don't turn inside out due to the taped seams on the inside and rolling around the washing machine could damage them 🤔, yes forgot to mention the cleaning of the machine, waterproof test, yes went to Scotland for a week 😁, thanks for watching and dropping a comment, much appreciated, ride safe, Simon B 👍
@@SIMONB1 I washed mine yesterday, had to leave them overnight drip drying, and this morning they were damp enough for the tumble. 20 mins on high and then left them to dry out completely. They look very clean though. Hoping the proofing agent has worked.

Hi Martin, you need to keep them pores clean in that breathable layer, if not it seems to leak but it's probably not breathing, hope it works 👍

Is there an expiry date for the storm cleaner and proofer, I’ve had mine for a year and still haven’t used it. A bit worried because i gotta send the jacket in for warranty repairs, but need it cleaned first, just need to make sure it will still do the job properly.

Are your washer and dryer just for your bike gear? Can you put Storm in the god lady’s utility room washer. I currently hand hash my gear in the bath and hang it in the shower to dry.
Hey up Nigel, no you can put storm in any washing machine, just clean the machine first with a 90 Deg wash to get rid of the enzymes from the bio washing powder, and do a 30/40 Deg wash , simple as, keep us updated how it goes, ride safe, Simon B 👍
Does using the storm products cause any problems with regular washing afterwards si ?
Hey up Steve, no problems at all as it's natural soap, it's the enzymes from normal powder that needs to be removed as they can degrade textile and it's structure, ride safe, Simon B 👍

Hey up drmengawyong, that's a good idea, as mine went in on a quick wash it wouldn't of made any difference, but when you turn it inside out, you expose the taped seams so could cause an issue with the waterproofing, so each to their own, but all clean either way 😁, thanks for dropping a comment, much appreciated, ride safe, Simon B 👍
