I would call it free.
I've noticed a lot of the Superinvestors also jump in and out of stocks eg BABA. After further reading and thought my updated approach is a Coffee Can approach but also being more diversified with 10-15 holdings vs 5 that I can buy and hold through the good and bad.
Another reason that stock pickers lag the index is poor risk management (probabilities & asymmetry). If you lose 50% you need to generate 100% just to get back to even. It’s easy to interrupt the doubles engine by going backwards (e.g. Rick Guerin)

Perhaps, I settled on a lower hurdle of entry in my cross country route to TAV by stumbling upon
Aeroportes de Paris, whilst surfing the web on holiday in Almaty.
I had previously spent some time 'researching' - in the UK - trying to solve my inability to get TAV via a broker.
There is some sweet pleasantries in the ADP option and some drawbacks beyond what I am too naive, new and stupid in my ownership or journey to realise.

I am an Australian with Turkish heritage and have friends who invest in the Turkish stock market just as Monish explained (gamblers). The reason for this is because casinos and gambling in general are illegal so people treat the stock market like a casino.
I've tried using god google to invest. How do you even invest in turkey from Aus? Seems all I can find are indexes and even they're quite hard to invest in.

Primarily trying to figure out how a non Turkish citizen would set up an account in Turkey, and if the paperwork can be done online?
That's not the reason and there are ways to gamble legally like betting etc, the real reason is there is no such thing as value investment in Turkey and people are too lazy to read and they really believe technical analysis works.
