      Jeff, I was particularly interested in booking the DMZ trip thru the company you listed. I'm doing less foodie stuff than you but have lots of art on my itinerary. there are some amazing museums in seoul. once again, thanks.

      @@irmazandl look into the JSA part of the tour. I had originally booked that specific one but due to political tensions at the time they had to cancel and rebook us on this one. The JSA includes visiting the blue bunkers where the soldiers from both sides are standing guard watching each other. Good luck!!

    Yes! What a great episode AND the type of travel guide I've been seeking. It's refreshing to see someone older than early 30s, who actually can tell the difference between good food and hype! I really appreciate you mentioning the good, and the less interesting things - because youTube is so full of the flat predictable instagram stuff - THANK YOU for the intelligent and experience-focused tips - i now have a list of things to do and where to eat on my first trip there in a few weeks

    Hi Jeff! I’m so excited to find your channel. I was debating whether to add a few days of Taiwan to my South Korea trip. It would be my first time in both countries so now I know they both have so much to see on their own! My bf and I are thinking of adding some camping to our South Korea trip as a side trip from Seoul. Looking forward to more videos. Cheers. 🎉

    I am planning to visit Seoul again in March 2024. One of the stunning nature parks in this video is the Hwadam Botanic Garden. I might add this to my itinerary, too. Thank you for sharing. When I first look at your appearance, you remind the look of one of former Liverpool players his name is Fabinho from Brazil. There are one in a million face similarities that happen in this world. No heart feeling, bro. I really enjoy and like your posting.❤ 😊. ✌️

    We enjoyed watching your video. Your video was very informative and of high quality. We are taking a cruise from Seoul to Tokyo and plan to arrive in Seoul 2-3 days earlier. We are both seniors and convenience is a primary consideration. Which hotel did you stay? What other hotels can you recommend in the same area? Thanks.

    • @fomoyolotravel
      @fomoyolotravel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the support and I am happy you found it useful. In terms of hotel, I stayed at the Aloft Hotel in Myeongdong. Although Myeongdong is quite "touristy", I personally enjoyed it there as a first-timer.
      I really liked the hotel as it is like a 1-2 min walk to the heart of the shopping & eating area of Myeongdong. There is a major bus stop right outside as well and subway station for getting around the city so everything is just super convenient. Also, they have laundry room on premise in case you want to get some done before hopping on your cruise.
      I would pull up Aloft Hotel on Booking.com or something and see what other hotels in the area may suit your needs based on hotel loyalty, price, space, etc. Hope this helps!

    Cool , it looks really tasty , I like to suggest to you , when showing tasty looking food , why not talk to chef , and share how to ? And ingredients needed and how , list . So on your video link to your website to order the lists on how to cook at home ? Something to think about , travel and make extra income to pay for the trips .

    • @fomoyolotravel
      @fomoyolotravel  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely. I would totally try incorporating more food preparation / kitchen walkthroughs for future food travels at establishments that don’t mind sharing how they prep and if they have time since a lot of them are very busy. It’s a personal space thing and since I’m a small channel, most have shoo shooed me away 😉. Great opportunity for income as you suggest but honestly, my current stance for my channel is not really doing TH-cam for money. I’m having fun just creating content and sharing my adventures. If the income continues to come, even better. Thank you so much for watching 🙏🏻

    Traditional Korean holiday foods generally do not use chili. Kimchi and tteokbokki did not contain chilis in the past.

      As always to any of my viewers, I appreciate you watching my video and hopefully in its entirety. That being said, I have a couple of questions to what you say where additional info would be helpful to myself and future viewers.
      1. How would a traveler know if a store is "Chinese owned"? Are there signs or is there some secret code only Koreans know about? It's a serious question in a way but I'm also a bit puzzled
      2. Any suggestions or additional feedback on where do the locals go? My experience in the past tells me that people always say go where the locals go but then the actual locals don't really want more foreigners going there so it's a bit conflicting and also a challenge to find out.
