This is gorgeous? I’m a lover of bangles and wear my 7, 24/7 I hate taking them off, when my niece used to loose me in the supermarket she used to listen for the jingles and find me straight away lol

I’d like to try this. Did you oxidize with liver of sulfur? It definitely looks better with the oxidation. Much easier to see the gold.
Also, could you skip the firing steps if you start with fine silver?

Yes I use liver of sulfur to oxidize the silver. Fine silver would not require the depletion gilding steps.

@@patcahillmetalworks322 G'day Pat, do you treat it with something else after the liver of sulfur goes on? To stop it wearing off with wear and tumbling in shot? I just got taught that the black oxide wears off quite easily.

When you oxidize with liver of sulfur does it not affect the gold foil? Sorry complete newbie at this

Pure gold can not be oxidized. That is why gold coins left at the bottom of sea for hundreds of years still retain there golden shine.

@@patcahillmetalworks322 How to you cut the gold into such accurate, geometric shapes like that? Put the foil between paper and cut that?

@@hepburn118 They are not really that accurate, but thanks. Yes it is best to put the gold foil between paper when you cut it.
