One of my favourite scenes that involves action, chasing and that it is mission based. Sort of like GTA... still great film based of a real life Bounty Hunter (1930-1980)
For a Man they illes on Mesothelioma he did a good Work on this film!👏🥺...LungCancer pulls any Energy out of the Body , but McQueen searching a.fighting for a cure...R.I.P Steve McQueen you will be in good Memomries
I knew the CTA Techincal advisor for this film Robert Heinlein RIP! He told me the stunt double was handcuffed to the pantograph in order to do the roof overhang scene so he wouldn’t fall off the moving train. Very interesting!
I was delivering the Chicago Tribune when this was being filmed in Chicago. I remember busting my bundles and seeing the front page and the stunt driver dying during a stunt in the Chicago River
Steve McQueen actually has a grandson who is also an actor. Steven R. McQueen He appeared as a firefighter on “Chicago Fire” i met him at the fire academy. Nice guy! Shook his hand. Chatted. Talked about his grand dad of what a great actor he was.
Lauren Janes did the stunts in this movie . He did most of McQueen's stunt work as far back as the Wanted Dead of Alive TV series. They looked a ot alike. Mr. Janes died of Alzheimers few years ago .
You're totally right. That was inspired by Peur Sur La Ville. Belmondo himself paid tribute to The King Of Cool through movie's poster wearing the same outfit than Steve's in Bullitt
My opinion has long been that if Steve was still alive he'd have been a good alternative casting for a lot-but not all-the films Clint Eastwood has done since the 70s...based purely on his performance in this film🎩
CTA 6000 series L cars! Two of the four cars in this awesome scene still exist today. Cars 6125-6126 which are the other two cars are preserved at the Illinois Railway Museum.
Actually, Steve would've been cool with the kids who came up, he was a pretty progressive cat who voted for LBJ and smoked pot nearly every day of his adult life.
@@moretoknowshow He actually supported Richard Nixon for President. I don’t believe he would have ever gone along with all this cancel culture woke snowflake nonsense.
One big advantage the bad guy with the Hispanic-Afro hairdo had over McQueeen was, the bad guy had one of those newfangled handguns -- that couldd shoot off like 28 bullets without the need of reloading ther weapon.
Yes at age 50 of lung cancer which he was a heavy smoker but he admitted after developing mesothelioma after was exposed to asbestos when he was removing asbestos lagging from pipes on a troop ship when he was in the Marines before he became a Hollywood star.
The pistol of the killer is a Walther P38, only 8 rounds in the magazine, may be 9 with a cartridge in the chamber. In this movie it is a endless magazine 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Big mistake!
Steve McQueen along with Mel Gibson represents the true cool man that every boy should look up to! I bet Steve would be very hated by the WOKE crowd nowadays!
The king of cool. You are greatly missed Steve Mcqueen.
It feels so raw. Wow
The best scene ever filmed on the “L” imo
He had Such presence on screen 📺,he was brilliant in this role and of course Bullit awesome, the king of cool without a doubt
*Bullitt
There is something just so fascinating and different about Steve McQueen than the rest in his era.
One of my favourite scenes that involves action, chasing and that it is mission based. Sort of like GTA... still great film based of a real life Bounty Hunter (1930-1980)
This was a good movie The Hunter a bounty hunter like he played in Wanted Dead or Alive. The King of Cool a legend RIP
Steve Mcqueen, Best Actor.
The Hunter was Steve Queens last movie almost 40 years ago.

Now thats what you call a brilliant stunt man.
Great film

I didn’t know Billy Squier was in this movie. Cool.
Who?
I was around 7 years old when they filming in my neighborhood old town, chicago
Jean Paul Belmondo made himself the same action on a métro for the movie Peur sur la ville
You're totally right. That was inspired by Peur Sur La Ville. Belmondo himself paid tribute to The King Of Cool through movie's poster wearing the same outfit than Steve's in Bullitt
For sure. Moreover Steve was in not in good health. I was so sad when je died.
Funny how at some points they are on north side of Chicago and other parts suddenly on west side lol
I saw it 12 times in this movie theater
My opinion has long been that if Steve was still alive he'd have been a good alternative casting for a lot-but not all-the films Clint Eastwood has done since the 70s...based purely on his performance in this film🎩
Look it all that running they have him doing. It's like Clark Gable wrestling mustang's in the "Misfits." TAKE IT EASY GREASEY !!!!

Bullet!
I'm looking for the entire soundtrack, especially this scene. Can anyone help me ?
Diego Maradona ...the bad guy ..!
He Plays Good Bad Guys, Fine Actor.
Thomas Rosales jr. at his best ;-)
Does anyone know which neighborhood the apartment building is in in the beginning of the chase when he goes to the guy’s door

how many bullets does a Luger hold?
One cool dude was Steve McQueen and so sadly missed. I think he would have hated what's happening today with this snowflake generation.

He was a real man.. breaks my heart to see him so sick. You can see it in his tired face
@@moretoknowshow absolutely no way, steve would never be behind the indoctrination of kids. Plus steve was a republican.
Steve greatest
Papa shoots a .45 round into the car and the bad guy never reloads. lol
私の永遠のアイドルスター😂
His last movie.
And a good one I remember the movie channel premiere in 1981 at 8 or 9 when Billy Joe got shot in the gut with the stun gun
Much better chase scene than Bullitt
One big advantage the bad guy with the Hispanic-Afro hairdo had over McQueeen was, the bad guy had one of those newfangled handguns -- that couldd shoot off like 28 bullets without the need of reloading ther weapon.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍✌️
McQueen's best role was The Blob. He should've stuck to cheap horror flicks, at least they were somewhat believable.
遺作となったハンターは彼のキャリアの集大成のような役だった
Think we found Slash's father
Well Steve McQueen passed away in 1980
Yeah every one knows that he died one year later, after this movie. But the legend lives on.

I think skyfall opening scene was inspired from this.
I have no idea what you are talking about.
@@evad49h james bond skyfall
@@evad49h you have never seen a James Bond film he was referring to the Daniel Craig Bond Skyfall.
And The hunter was inspired by french movie "Peur sur la ville",1975 with stunt by JP Belmondo ...
