This movie was in Steve McQueen's prime. He and his wife, Ali MacGraw, performed an epic action thriller film with great entertainment. It somehow reminds us another movie, "The Shawshank Redemption (1994)", and with amplified happy ending. ð

perhaps the best ever ... Steve Rules !!!
Superbly written by Walter Hill and directed by Peckinpah.
Timeless classic. Everything is perfect in there, and i's actually a love story.
Well said! I took out lots of struggle scene between these two, and believe it is a love story. ð
Al Niri should never have to con Steveð
In the 70's, Billy Jack would've put the "queen" in McQueen.
Paul Newman was a much better actor.
Then go watch a Paul Newman clip
As great a movie as The Getaway is Ali McGraw was just as horrible as an actress! She was brutal!
That's okay Steve liked her.
MacGraw was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe for other films. McQueen never won squat.

He had the personality of cool American boyð, no matter how he looked like, ðđ
