That's cool, though most buyback or trade-in programs are gamestop tier garbage, unless you have a 1 or 2-year-old flagship they'll probably offer like $15, I get they have to make money, but even for $15-25 I can still get more value out of an old phone as an alarm/clock or a webcam or whatever.

It was a color monitor, but the last owner warned me that it was cheep because they hit a bump on the way home with it, and the color red always turned out black. Ironically the main thing I ended up using it for was playing solitaire. Ever play solitaire with all black cards? It's actually really easy when you know the suits.

That’s when we learned that cooking oil is corrosive to electronics…

That shattered disc. When I was younger the disc for diablo 2 expansion shattered in the disc drive like that while I was playing and no one believed me when I said I didn’t break it in a gamer rage moment then painstakingly place each piece in the right place to reconstruct the broken disc in the drive by hand. To prove them wrong I tried to break another disc and showed them they just bend. They still thought I was faking to prove innocence.
Speaking of hardware gore, my laptop has 2 keys which are esentially bare contacts by now. And that's because I still have the instinct of destroying stuff I don't need to.

That shattered disc. When I was younger the disc for diablo 2 expansion shattered in the disc drive like that while I was playing and no one believed me when I said I didn’t break it in a gamer rage moment then painstakingly place each piece in the right place to reconstruct the broken disc in the drive by hand. To prove them wrong I tried to break another disc and showed them they just bend. They still thought I was faking to prove innocence.
