So I've watched a dozen YT "Reacts" videos for this song with the same emotional response and a lot of tears. I'm old now, but lucky to have discovered Tori back in the 90's when I was in my 20's. Even though I usually defaulted to classic rock, techno, Beastie Boys, etc.. I couldn't ignore such musical talent and passion. I've seen her live 3 times - with the last time being a 1st date with a girl that I've now been married to for over 20 yrs.
Also, thank you for being so genuine. Music is supposed to make us feel things and there's nothing wrong with expressing it. Fun fact: wrestler Mick Foley loved this song and used to listen to it before every match. He went on to volunteer with Tori's charity, RAINN, for survivors of SA. Real men aren't afraid to cry! ❤
I love people discovering Tori Amos!! She changed my life. I loved your reaction to her... a very real, emotional reaction. Thank you for sharing the moment with us.
Tori is probably the most emotionally expressive musician I can think of. I have been listening to her since the mid 90s and this song (and many others) still bring me to tears. Wonderful reaction!
I see a child's drawings behind you, as someone who has been listening to this song for almost 30 years, it definitely hits different as a father than it did before i had a daughter. Tori's greatest ability as a musician (of which there are many) is the ability to evoke emotion. You felt it exactly as you were supposed to. Great reaction, do more Tori, you wont be disappointed .
I' ve watches this performance uncountable times but your reaction, with those children's art pieces in the backround, really got me again - thanks for sharing those tears over a Tori song ❤
This song always tugged at me. Especially this live version. Hearing it again for the first time after my mother had passed on, it hit me like a bag of bricks.
This was always my favorite song by her. I used to listen to this on repeat for days… But like you, hearing it now with both of my parents gone breaks me.
She's awesome and you picked the best of the best! I love how you let it end and no comments, because no comments were needed. I'm a 65 year old man, and I cry everytime I watch this one. Such a beautiful yet powerful song. Cheers!
I'm pretty much always left speechless with her please fill free to check out my playlist for tori I ha e a couple she is an angel sent down to sing for us all
She’s absolutely AMAZING her first 5 albums or so are just phenomenal front to back. Just get the first three and just play them from beginning to end. One of my all time favorite artists. ❤❤❤ She explodes my heart constantly.
I feel exactly how you feel listening to this performance. I’ve listened 100 times or more and each time my heart bursts with emotion. As a dad of three daughters, every time I hear, “when you gonna love you as much as I do”, I tear up and think of my babies, now 50, 32 and 28. Thanks for your heart, your emotion. Sometimes music is the key that opens the vault.
I have listened to this since Little Earthquakes came out. I still ugly sob to this. It’s exquisite in its ability to cut right through your heart and all of it is painfully true. You should hear it with the full orchestra, you will be done.
Love your response to her music. Her music is deep, she sings like an angel, the melodies are beautiful and her piano playing is magical. It touches your soul so of course it's emotional. Thanks for sharing your genuine reaction to it.
As a daughter to a father whom I adore, this song is branded on my heart. He taught me to be curious and courageous. To be proud of myself. This song will brings me to my knees in emotion, every time.
Oh man miss Tori now there is a rabbir hole to go down..she is my absolute favorite I have tickets for July to see my 59th and 60th show can't wait she has been a daily part of life for half of my life now saw my first show in 93 ❤❤
This performance and specifically her pure and completely raw emotion within her lyrics, vocals, piano perfection and most of all, her facial expressions is best explained as heart wrenching and going to leave you sobbing in a pool of tears. It’s human and in the hearts of the many touched by Tori.
Love your reaction to this ..I discovered her when I was 19 ..in 1992 ..debut album ..Little Earthquakes ...massive album for me ....and I had exactly the same emotional response to it..I then went to see her live and was destroyed ....haha ...amazing performer, songwriter, singer and pianist xx
Tori is an Angel, "Y Kant Tori Read" was an American synth-pop band fronted by the singer-songwriter Tori Amos and active between 1984 and 1989. The band originally consisted of vocalist and keyboardist Amos, guitarist Steve Caton, drummer Matt Sorum (later of Guns N' Roses), and bassist Brad Cobb. The band's name comes from an incident in Amos's childhood where she was asked to leave the Peabody Conservatory because she refused to read sheet music. Great reaction to a genuinely great artist, Tori has many songs she even sings a great, slightly weird, 'live' on stage song with the lead singer from "Tool" -Maynard James Kenan!
I feel you... If you don't have a shed of a tear in your eyes at this song, you've got no heart... Thanks for your emotional and honest reaction, really appreciate that!
She speaks to the soul. I had the honor of seeing her live. It was a life changing event. I’ll reference raspberryswirl, thank you for being so genuine.
This concert was amazing ! ✨beautiful Tori is incredible 🥺❤️👏🏽 I see you Lee 🫶🏽 let it out ! It hits right in the soul ! ❤️🩹 As music should!!!! 🎶music is life🎶 Sending much love Lee 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Thanks for having such a genuine and beautiful reaction to such a beautiful song. I was cry-laughing as I saw you react to it, because it's the exact same way that it makes me feel every time I listen to it.
Never seen your channel until now, but thank you for the raw reaction. It doesn't matter, male female or something inbetween, all you need is heart to appreciate her music. Definitely found a new subscriber because of this one.
Tori is special buit this song hit me before my dad passed. After, shit - I listen only when I need that pressure release of missing that relationship. And here I am... Cheers good human
Best reaction video! Tori was a staple for me back in the day and now that my youngest is graduating and my mom has passed this song hits even harder. I’ve been meaning to suggest that you react to Sinead Oconnor’s Troy and/or Jackie and the news today about her tragic passing made me come back and suggest.
It's OKay man. Tori has helped me through so much in my life. Ups, downs, and everything in between. I've seen her several times live, and I can honestly say, the best vibe ever. I don't like peoples company much, but at a Tori concert, I can honestly say, I could be friends with 90 percent of the people in the crowd. Wurd to my Tori brothers and sisters.
Been a fan for many years but crying right along with you 😭 love seeing someone get emotional over music, I get the same way and don’t have anyone in my life that feels the same way. At least not to the degree I feel it, where I’m brought to tears. It can feel pretty lonely, at times, so I’m glad you’re out there sharing your experience so we can all feel less alone about it 💗
Much respect for getting the music in the moment with honesty and emotion. This song whacks me in the heart every time, my father having passed while we were estranged. Music should hit you so hard you're speechless.
I appreciate your ability to feel so deeply listening to this song. Tori has unceasingly affected me in the same way for nearly 28 years. That said.... Cooling is 100 times better than Winter, imo. Winter is lovely. It's just that it's at the bottom of a very long list of amazing Tori Amos songs.
I absolutely love your reaction. She is truly fantastic live. She is a true pianist, she played two at time. I actually walked down the aisle to this song, just the piano music. The music is stunning and haunting.
I found you so likable that I’m leaving a sub just from watching this video. Our struggles sometimes are the only light in the darkness which makes them beautiful too. We should cherish our struggles, life is short.
I almost forgot to drop recommendations! I would love to see reactions to Cooling and Iieee (Sessions at West 54th), A Sorta Fairytale (full album version), and Bells for Her (Live- either the audio from To Venus and Back or Welcome to Sunny Florida). All of those songs are very emotional and powerful.
Maynard James Keenan and Trent Reznor have a good (great) friend in Tori. I also love that Neil Gaiman is a part of the posse. Artists supporting artists.
I lost my Mom when I was 27 and my Dad when I was 35. I can't even sing with this song without crying. I can't even listen to it without tears falling from my face. It's just proof that time flies faster than it really should.
Hi Lee,I'm up late as usual bro, just watched your reactions this evening,Tori Amos and chinchilla were both amazing, and your reactions were nothing less than I expected, personal, honest and thoughtful,(your nan would be proud of the man her grandson has become!! You said you were on a singing vibe bro, that in mind you must must must check out a track called (my mind) by an artist called Yebba, trust me my friend her vocals on this track are simply awesome,I haven't steered you wrong yet bro,Yebbas voice will blow your mind!! That one line, "when you gonna love you as much as I do" gets me every time as a parent. Best lyric ever put down.
Isn’t she just an effing treasure?? Her voice is SO intimate and SO full of spirit and electricity and feeling.
Honestly she reminds me of an angle
I'm with you mate.
I got into this in 92 when it was released.
Still packs a punch.

I'm 60. I have 2 daughters in there late 20's. I found Tori in the early 90's before I had kids. This song still brings me to tears.....
Discovered her 3 months ago and my life changed.. 20 plus songs i already know by heart. She's real magic.

Tori is a hell of an artist. Composer, pianist, singer, storyteller. There has only been and only will be one Tori.
