I’m so happy to see you reacting to more Tori! I’ve been lucky enough to see her many times in concert and it always felt more like a spiritual experience than just a concert. There’s just something so intimate and beautiful about her vocal style. Happy to be on this Tori journey with you!
I absolutely adore your reactions to Tori. They are so genuine. You really don’t need to do more than just…listen and feel and it’s so cool to watch someone else find her and fall in love with her. Also, let’s be real, Tori is stunning and conveys an incredible amount of natural sensuality when she performs. I love it. She’s mesmerizing. I totally agree that watching her live is the absolute best way to experience her. Thanks again for this and I’m looking forward to the next one! ❤❤❤ P.s. Here are a some recommendations of Tori songs to react to (these all have different feels to them, from beautiful ballads to more hard core stuff, to groovy vibes etc etc): Precious Things Silent All These Years Cornflake Girl Happy Phantom Marianne Leather Me and a Gun (this is a tough one based on a true thing that happened to Tori so a bit of a trigger warning) Spark Icicle Baker Baker Crucify God Pretty Good Year Hey Jupiter The Waitress Father Lucifer This is literally just scratching the surface of her amazing career but you can’t go wrong with any of these and you should be able to find some really good live performances of each. ☺
thank you really means alot the amazing comments and support she is amazing im always blown away by her and thanks il defo be checking them out over nex few days 🙏🙏🙏
@@musiclee Awesome! Also, did you give me a shout out in the video? This is such a dumb question but your accent is thick (and lovely) but I heard “Meg” and “Heart”. If it wasn’t me, that’s totally cool but if it was, I wanted to acknowledge it and say thank you! So, either way, thank you (for the Tori content and/or the shout out). 😂😅❤
the live versions are absolutely gorgeous, but those studio recordings of Thank You and The Rolling Stones song Angie are just as sublime and worth checking out.
I think you might like Jackie's strength. Although it sounds like it's about Jackie "O" Kennedy, it's actually about Tori's own wedding day, and praying she has the same strength to get through marriage that Jackie Kennedy did that fateful day her husband was assassinated. Pretty dark stuff, but also relatable. There's a great PBS Soundstage performance (2003) which is live.
Live performances are great, Tori live performances are phenomenal, I do agree that you should skip music videos, they're distracting, and 9 times out of 10 the record company edits the music for time, or remixes it some way, usually to the detriment of the music. Still, I don't think you should totally avoid the studio versions of Tori's music, consider checking out some B-sides and covers if you want to try something different, there's tons of them.
As stunning as her live vocals are, let's not forget that fabulous piano playing - such a beautiful sound!! Wow!
