Actually mate I sold it! it was good off road but I would prefer the Triton as they have more power and are more easily modified. I lifted the Nav and it made it worse. Still if you want a stock vehicle for work they are very good I wanted to do more off roading so I got a Patrol Ute, coil cab. check my other videos.
Good to see some good dirty 4x4 without complete tools behind the wheel. My family and friends helped build some of those tracks over 30 years ago. I'm picking up my new D22 in a couple of weeks. Last time I was up the mountains there were massive gates across the entrance to the fire trails. Are those gates still there?
CodeFoxAus Hey Mate. I see you also have a newish D22? I myself also purchased on, the last one of 2014 to be exact so was wondering if you have noticed with yours any turbo lag? I find it doesn't have a lot of grunt. Love it heaps though.
TechStories79 Yeah, mine's a 2014 and when the turbo kicks in it's like I've just let the clutch out for a second time. I haven't driven any other diesel Navaras so I'm not sure if that's the same on others. It's ok after you get used to it. Gotta keep the revs between 2k and 3k to keep it pulling smoothly.
TechStories79 It's hard to justify touching the suspension considering how well it handles on the road. I recently borrowed my father-in-law's Pajero because he needed my ute - it was so sloppy on the road I couldn't wait to get the Navara back.
Cheers for the video mate, these are about the same price as a new triton these days so I'm struggling to make my mind up, seeing this video of a stocky gives me confidence in the nav's ability though. You done much to her since this video?
now I see why my brother loves the D22 im gonna get one as well with the lot and the price is awesome don't have to spend more the 40,000 for an off roader that good I could get a Nissan GQ early or mid 90s but I wanna spoil myself lol
cheers and sorry to be a pain but am looking and doing a few things to my ď22 is your exaust stainless steel and is it 3 inch all the way threw with or without cat/muffler cheers
no men the one you are talking its the D40 Navara, this is D22 men, the D40 comes with a 2.5 Turbo Diesel, runs very good but is not that strong as teh D22
yer they are very good on juice but dont drive it hard as u can drive the motor in the ground faster. i got a 98 navara d22 motor diesel and i get 600ks out of a 40Lt tank.
how good are these on juice ? my wife really likes them and were looking at one for a second vehicle. I already have a work ute so two utes would be the ultimate ! haha
lol I am an American and I got a laugh out of this. personally I prefer regular sized trucks, I drive a frontier which is the same thing more or less as a Navara and its a pretty great truck. but I have to correct you. its not that Americans are too fat its that they feel a need to be better then everyone else,a guy driving down the road in an f350 basically is doing so so that his truck is bigger then mine which in his mind makes him better then me. there is a little peek into the American mind
Well folks, I own a D22. Any of them engines with the motorcode YD22 is - motorically - a piece of sh!t... I threw out 2 factory engines. First, the shaft in the 3rd piston broke in half uowards, then I got a D40 block in it that ran 120.000 Km's, and the bearings cooked onto the driveshaft. Excellent suspension and chasis, with a shity engine... Mine runs now on a "slightly" modified 1.9 tdi Audi engine thwt has over 200 Hp...
what the hell. why don't they sell these in united states. some tell me what kind of mileage this truck makes on diesel. i own a 1989 nissan hardbody 2.4l king cab lowrider custom i give it up for one of these.
personally I dont give a shit about what anyone else thinks and dont need to impress anyone so I drive a normal vehicle. my two wheel drive frontier does better then the full sized lifted gas guzzling 4wd trucks so yeah its all about there ego and perhaps tiny reproductive organs.
Nice footage... makes me want to be more brave with my D22.
They are pretty tough! Go for gold!

excelente camioneta, yo tengo una idéntica a esta y de verdad que no la cambio por ningún otro rustico.
Looks like a good spot - do you remember where abouts in Yellow Rock ?
If what is written is right (why shouldn't be?) it's Yellow Rock on the Blue Mountains, in New South Wales, Australia.
i have d22 2 inch body 2inch suspension an air locker in the back and 32 pro comp muddies goes anywere. and 2.5 inch straight through is the way to go

Yeah I agree if u keep it over 2k she goes good! thinking about a lift but not sure yet?

Yeah this was a loooong time ago, like my reply and yes there are gates now.
Cheers for the video mate, these are about the same price as a new triton these days so I'm struggling to make my mind up, seeing this video of a stocky gives me confidence in the nav's ability though. You done much to her since this video?
Did you smack the chrome tail step up into the paintwork on the tub? I hit mine like that and put a couple of nicks into it.
My tow bar saved me a lot but did smash it a few times!
Did exactly that my first time out. Put a fair ding in the right side of the tub... But have been out a couple times since that and no damage
drop swaybars out and get an extra inch of drop :)
im getting a d22 st-r soon cant wait to test it.
now I see why my brother loves the D22 im gonna get one as well with the lot and the price is awesome don't have to spend more the 40,000 for an off roader that good I could get a Nissan GQ early or mid 90s but I wanna spoil myself lol

Not a problem mate! It was 3" mild steel straight through no mufflers with high flow cat I think.
DoneandDone cheers mate much appreciated

my 98 navara 4x4 3.2 diesel gets 600k out of a 40litre tank of diesel and only done 194,000 kms on her. im the second owner.
yer they are very good on juice but dont drive it hard as u can drive the motor in the ground faster. i got a 98 navara d22 motor diesel and i get 600ks out of a 40Lt tank.
It must have a smaller tank! I dont have it anymore though!
they are pretty good, about 500 k's to a tank driving it pretty hard!
how good are these on juice ? my wife really likes them and were looking at one for a second vehicle. I already have a work ute so two utes would be the ultimate ! haha

yd25. Typo, sorry. Mine - originally had the 2.5 liter TDI engine w. 133 Hp
Forgot to mention, I'we changed the oil in every 10.000 Km's, and I run 50-60.000 Km's a year...
It was stock height.
I would consider giving a testicle to have a diesel D22 here in America.
Haha pleas don't! they are not that good! I have a Nissan GU Patrol now which is much much better!
what are you talking about? There are tons of Nissan D22's in Mexico.
Well folks, I own a D22. Any of them engines with the motorcode YD22 is - motorically - a piece of sh!t... I threw out 2 factory engines. Bad driver, I own 2 with more tan 200k km and the run just fine
pretty damn hard or you got a smalle rtank than the 2004 one, cos I average 700k? (no offroading thou)
what the hell. why don't they sell these in united states.
some tell me what kind of mileage this truck makes on diesel.
i own a 1989 nissan hardbody 2.4l king cab lowrider custom i give it up for one of these.
Is the vehicle still stock height with no lift kit? Thanks :)

custom 3 inch turbo back.
2nd low range I think. can't remember sorry.
Waiting for my single cab truck to come back with new engine in
You need to learn to drive off rd lol
Im just cautious buddy.
Not To mention the big ford trucks are fucking shit offroad.. can't handle dunes or boggy sand at all
Actually I own a stone masonry company. Nice try though.
That's a pretty little lawnmower. I'll take my F350 though =)
personally I dont give a shit about what anyone else thinks and dont need to impress anyone so I drive a normal vehicle. my two wheel drive frontier does better then the full sized lifted gas guzzling 4wd trucks so yeah its all about there ego and perhaps tiny reproductive organs.
