Oooh! Another great one! I could also see using the small end to hook a rhizome then burying the big loop under a rock or substrate. Or looping up the end of my Python, or hooking the python to a tank edge while filling. Darn - there goes my Amazon budget! LOL - hair ties...Yes!! Even though I live in a house full of boys like you, and I’m the only one contributing to the hair tie explosion. 🤣

If those float, they'd also work really well for a plant ring if you only have a few floaters. Or for a feeding ring if your surface is covered in floaters and you just need an open space to feed.

Good morning Joanna- I literally busted out laughing at the twist tie dilemma and cutting your plant along with the zip ties- I had that happen to me twice this week- ughh! I am definitely going to order these- not only are they practical everywhere but they are cheap! Awesome tip- TYFS and have a great day!

OMG, are we related? I thought I was the only one who neatly coiled up cables, airline hose, etc and hung them on a peg board. Your twist tie commentary cracked me up - not knowing which way to twist or untwist. I've always accused others of twisting the ties in the wrong direction because I always had to fight to untwist them - until one day I had an epiphany. I'm ambidextrous and finally noticed that I TWIST them closed with one hand, but use my OTHER hand to UNTWIST. Had decades of apologizing to do, lol...

Went to the dollar store yesterday and guess what I bought ... green zip ties never thought about the cutting issue :( The kitty litter scoop I bought though should be handy to break up the water when pouring water into small tanks instead of using my hand. Thanks for the " clip tip ". I always think of you now when I'm in the dollar store LOL!
