Olly, windy and wet on the ground, lovely unseasonable August weather 😊 A lovely looking walk with so much variation. Well done on your longest walk this year and managing the discomfort and pain👍
It must seems odd walking when it is so wet after the summer. Hope your ankle is better. Nothing worse than getting out there and having pain so early on. Thanks for sharing I look forward to seeing the next one . So good to see different part of the country. 👍🏻🇬🇧😀
Thank you very much for subscribing - and for watching. My ankle seems to be healing. We've had so many weeks and months of dry weather, it has been quite a change more recently. But I'd rather be out in it than sat indoors! :-) All the best. I'll have another Exmoor video coming soon.
Thanks, Robin. So many standing stones and memorials across the UK... And for some reason, this one was given its own roof in the early 1900s! They say it belonged to a descendent (possibly grandson) of King Caratacus. But not the King himself! I'm returning to Exmoor tomorrow but not expecting to find anything so unusual. Ankle pain is easing - survived a good 13 miler yesterday. Have a good week and thanks for watching.
Really enjoyed that one Olly. I was there every painful step of the way. I know what it means for you to be mobile - I have injuries to. Let's hope you get stronger and bring us more Exmoor and green lanes and green fields. You're a good guide. Mark
Thank you, Mark. It can be challenging when something so small affects, as you say, our mobility. But I managed a 13 mile walk yesterday with very little discomfort. Another mistake I made was to not drink enough water. It wasn't hot and I didn't feel thirsty but I felt it in my slow recovery after. Hope you have a good week and thanks for watching.
@@WalksWithOlly A pleasure as always Olly. I go right to the end with yours - the company and commentary is great and of course the walks. Good going on this one and glad to hear your ankle feels OK. I just got back from a bivvy last night - saw a KIngfisher at the spot to. I will have a good week. You to.
Great video Ollie shame about the feet but glad to hear at the end it was bad. Looks great there and as you mentioned can't remember now think it was Instagram that I wanted to go to the tar steps 😁👍
Thanks for watching, Carl. Yeah, I think I heard or read you were talking about walking the Exe Valley Way? It runs right by Tarr Steps, as I recall. Hope you have a good week and all the best.
Thank you for watching and that is a great idea. I find it hard to believe that I've not been down to Exmoor since filming this one - will be looking to rectify that soon! Hope you have a good week and thanks again.
I'm pleased to say that the ankle pain is getting better. I survived a 13 mile walk yesterday, with them fully laced for the second half. I'll be in Yorkshire two weeks from now so this is timely. Thanks for watching and I hope your weekend's been good. Have a good week.

Thanks, Gerry. It was a really good walk all around and the pain didn't affect that, even though it tried.
Have a good week and thanks for watching.
Great documentation Thank you for sharing the video, your channel 👍💜1
You're welcome. Thank you for watching.

Nice walk Olly, love how the stone gets its own shelter. 😁
Hope your ankle is okay mate. 👍🏻

Thanks, Shirley. Ankle is easing now - barely felt it as much on a walk yesterday.
Hope you're doing well and thanks for watching.

I would take the opportunity to immerse my hurty ankle in the streams and rivers.
Just a few minutes should have a restorative effect…
Nice video…

King Caradog of Gwent. He was a knight of the round table .
Thanks for watching. I assume then that Caer Caradoc, now in Shropshire, was named after him?
Great video friend , iam from Indonesia
Thank you and thank you very much for watching.
@@WalksWithOlly ok
Enjoyed the vid Olly. Hope you get the feet/ footwear issue resolved for the distance you enjoy to walk; so off putting for future plans. Cheers.
