I’d recommend the flat irons/Boulder, El dorado canyon, Roxburough, castle wood canyon, tea at the brown palace downtown, Estes park and Rocky Mountain national park. If you’re up for longer drivers obviously anywhere in the mountains - Colorado Springs - pikes peak, garden of the gods and royal gorge. Lots of cool stuff out by Glen wood Canyon. Lots to see! Meow Wolf would be super fun to visit too! Avoid 16th St Mall, it used to be a good touristy thing but has recently become not so safe.

Make sure you hydrate - with altitude sickness, headaches can be a problem. I’ll pile on with smothering your Mexican food in green chili, if you go to Santiago’s get the smothered stuffed sopapilla. The best view of the mountains from Denver (think postcard shot) is the rooftop deck at the Museum of Nature and Science- it overlooks City Park with the west view.

The very first Chipotle is in Denver so I feel like that’s a must visit for you! Or I recommend Santiago’s for burritos. There’s a lot of locations. Also Pearl Street Farmers Market on Sundays - get there early. And driving down Broadway there’s a ton of shops and restaurants. Art museum, zoo, and botanical garden are all good options if you go on a weekday. Hope you love it, I miss living there!

Denver is a lovely place (minus inevitable altitude sickness!), and I love that you have a built-in in dog friend while you feel your feels from culture & connection vascillation. I should have caffeinated before I watched this or maybe that would have made me feel more emotion and weepiness. I like the idea of the big family, but the chaos sends me into sensory meltdown, though I've always thought that would be so nice, I just can't physically & emotionally hang. It took me literal decades to understand and accept that. I always notice this because you're so good at it, but your intentional sensitivity and overall ability to never trigger due to your thoughtfulness & always being present is so encouraging and appreciated. That's an amazing skill that many don't posess.
Not sure how long you're in Denver(Haven't had a chance to watch yet) but I HIGHLY recommend going to a Rockies game on June 30th or July 1st. It's one of the best firework shows you'll ever see.
I'm a licensed vet tech, mostly equine and canine, and too horse poor (yes horse, not house ❤️🐴) to travel anymore. And I miss it. Your videos really get me thinking about doing relief work elsewhere or doing something remotely so I can travel more. And now maybe I could dogsit for a place too! Gonna be dreaming some big dreams!! Have only traveled through Co a couple times. Definitely on my list of next moves. Enjoy!!
I love Tahoe and am so glad you enjoyed your time there. It really is a beautiful magical place. My infant son passed away in 2020 and we sprinkled his ashes in the lake (on the Nevada side where it’s allowed). Now whenever we are there I think about our little Theo looking over us. 💜

Also, if you feel like pampering yourself, make an appointment at Tall Grass Spa in Evergreen. I try to make a point to go there every time I’m in Denver.

We were actually at Clear Creek this past Saturday and it was one of the best walks we’ve had there, the rain has made everything so green and gorgeous so you’re here at a perfect time! Welcome to CO! Hope you’re staying safe with all our nutty storms today! We moved here from Seattle in 2020 and absolutely adore it (people are FAR nicer here). Definitely hit up Meow Wolf, and Temaki Den in RiNo has some of the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan.
So I’ve lived in CO for 5 years now I’ve never seen it this green because I’ve never seen this much rain here. My husband is a native and he said it’s been ten years since it’s rained this much. So I’m loving how lush everything is. While your here you should go to the Botanic Gardens! I think it’ll be perfect to see right now :)

I havent traveled in a couple years but your vlogs remind me of the excitement I got moving somewhere new exploring or visiting. I traveled alone too when I was younger. I lived in the netherlands when I was around 13 and remember exploring by myself (def not safe and do not condone), but I had so much independence. Then in my early 20's I moved to northern California for work and remember driving from ohio to ca by myself. This is when there was still a first or 2nd gen iphone lol Anyway I remember going to Tahoe by myself a lot and falling in love. I lived in colorado too and still to this day just love Tahoe and want to take a trip back. It's gorgeous all year round. Denver is great. Make sure you do Red Rocks. It’s a world famous music venue. 16th street has awesome food spots. Things are unusually green right now because of the rain. There are lots of really fun small July 4th parades in smaller towns. If you are doing well and feeling it, Hanging Lake is an epic adventure. Colorado has wonderful hot springs. So therapeutic! Hope you have a great time there.
I used to live in golden which is like 20min from Denver and it’s beautiful :) you can walk along the creek and through the shops in the old downtown area. It’s also where the coors brewery is, so you can take a tour through there if you’re into beer!
I’m from a suburb of Denver but moved away at 18. I’ve always been curious to know what it would be like to live there as an adult, but compared to where I live now, the access to the mountains in Denver is so bad because of I-70 traffic. Definitely go to Red Rocks amphitheater even if not for a concert. They do movies on Monday nights, yoga on the weekends, or you can just go in the morning/midday whenever there isn’t an event and walk around.
My cousin went to university in Denver; I was supposed to go to her graduation there but I was scheduled to work and couldn't go. Added it to my travel bucket list because it's apparently gorgeous. Also cute pup 💜; it looks a little like my parents' dog.
Good to know about that dog sitting/house sitting service! Welcome to Denver. It's insanely green right now due to the record-breaking rain we had the last 6 weeks or so. The wildflowers are so beautiful right now! There are some great parks in the Jefferson County Open Space system (the clear creek hike was in that system too). My favorite is Alderfer/Three Sisters in Evergreen, which has a lot of trails to choose from and is a bit cooler being a little higher in elevation. We have had a really wet spring so just keep an eye on the AllTrails comments sections for higher elevation- the hike I was going to do on Monday is still covered in snow >_> RedRocks + Dinosaur Ridge dino tracks is a nice halfday adventure. The botanic gardens are gorgeous this time of year. If you want to have a cool experience that is a bit different, Chatfield State Park reservoir is super flooded right now- rent a paddleboard and paddle through the flooded cottonwood forest. Very peaceful with all the birds, just watch out for afternoon thunderstorms. Have fun!
Definitely second all these suggestions. Even a hike up at Red rocks just to see the views. There’s the lil downtown Morrison just below Red rocks you can check out too. The botanic gardens are probably blooming and gorgeous right now. I live just West of Chatfield Res, so definitely recommend paddle boarding. Water level is insanely high! -lake Dillon, Breckenridge will be nice scenery/drives -you could take a drive up to Mt Evans, which is a 14er and one of many in CO. -Roxborough state park is gorgeous and not super crowded (usually) -food: Cheba hut (sub sandwiches and local chain), Lucile’s (Creole breakfast and close at 2 pm, also local chain), 9th door (tapas), Reckless Noodle house, Humboldt kitchen, Postino, Denver biscuit. -Drinks: we are brewery country! Lots of breweries and pubs around. TRVE brewery on Broadway is cool metal aesthetic, Prost, or you could take a Coors beer tour! Bars: Thin Man, Welton room, Marigold, The Infinite Monkey Theorem (winery, but fun!) Have fun Taylor! Enjoy your stay 💜

Welcome to CO, Taylor! You missed all of the non-stop rain. It would have made you think that you were back in Seattle or dealing with the June Gloom of San D. It’s usually really dry here (high desert with high altitude, but always good hair days!) and rarely this green. 🌳🪴🌿 Water and fluids are a must, especially if you drive up to the mountains and to stave off your migraines. Places that my Japanese hubby and I love: Blue Pan Pizza off of 12th and Madison and right across from them is Sweet Cooie’s ice cream parlor. The interior is so super cute. Like an old time-y shop from the 1930’s or 40’s. Smokin’ Yards BBQ off of Santa Fe and Ellsworth, going north towards downtown. Their OG location is in Idaho Springs, which is I-70 West into the mountains. Sushi Den is good, but they’ve been better in the past (pre-Panini). Lots of great restaurants near Sushi Den on Pearl Street. Some Japanese people that we know own the Tokyo Premium Bakery on Pearl Street and they have great breads that you would find in Japan and matcha lattes. It’s kind of hard to find at first, but it’s in the building connected to the parking garage (1540 S. Pearl in Denver. There’s also a Pearl Street in Boulder). Downtown Denver is a little sketchy now plus they’re doing a lot of road construction, so shopping is better elsewhere. Gradys is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE! Theyre based in NYC so we get their cold brew pretty quickly. My hubby and i have been drinking gradys for 8 years. Once you have it, nothing else is as good. I make my own syrup to go with it so the sugar doesnt make a quicksand at the bottom. Enjoy

I havent traveled in a couple years but your vlogs remind me of the excitement I got moving somewhere new exploring or visiting. I traveled alone too when I was younger. I lived in the netherlands when I was around 13 and remember exploring by myself (def not safe and do not condone), but I had so much independence. Then in my early 20's I moved to northern California for work and remember driving from ohio to ca by myself. This is when there was still a first or 2nd gen iphone lol Anyway I remember going to Tahoe by myself a lot and falling in love. I lived in colorado too and still to this day just love Tahoe and want to take a trip back. It's gorgeous all year round. I love that you post all the safety advice on traveling alone esp as a female. Sending you

Denver is great. Make sure you do Red Rocks. It’s a world famous music venue. 16th street has awesome food spots. Things are unusually green right now because of the rain. There are lots of really fun small July 4th parades in smaller towns. If you are doing well and feeling it, Hanging Lake is an epic adventure. Colorado has wonderful hot springs. So therapeutic! Hope you have a great time there.
I used to live in golden which is like 20min from Denver and it’s beautiful :) you can walk along the creek and through the shops in the old downtown area. It’s also where the coors brewery is, so you can take a tour through there if you’re into beer!

I’m from a suburb of Denver but moved away at 18. I’ve always been curious to know what it would be like to live there as an adult, but compared to where I live now, the access to the mountains in Denver is so bad because of I-70 traffic. Definitely go to Red Rocks amphitheater even if not for a concert. They do movies on Monday nights, yoga on the weekends, or you can just go in the morning/midday whenever there isn’t an event and walk around.
My cousin went to university in Denver; I was supposed to go to her graduation there but I was scheduled to work and couldn't go. Added it to my travel bucket list because it's apparently gorgeous.
Also cute pup 💜; it looks a little like my parents' dog.
Ugh I absolutely love Denver! I get to go there in a month for a wedding and I am so excited!
Good to know about that dog sitting/house sitting service! Welcome to Denver. It's insanely green right now due to the record-breaking rain we had the last 6 weeks or so. The wildflowers are so beautiful right now! There are some great parks in the Jefferson County Open Space system (the clear creek hike was in that system too). My favorite is Alderfer/Three Sisters in Evergreen, which has a lot of trails to choose from and is a bit cooler being a little higher in elevation. We have had a really wet spring so just keep an eye on the AllTrails comments sections for higher elevation- the hike I was going to do on Monday is still covered in snow >_> RedRocks + Dinosaur Ridge dino tracks is a nice halfday adventure. The botanic gardens are gorgeous this time of year. If you want to have a cool experience that is a bit different, Chatfield State Park reservoir is super flooded right now- rent a paddleboard and paddle through the flooded cottonwood forest. Very peaceful with all the birds, just watch out for afternoon thunderstorms. Have fun!
Definitely second all these suggestions. Even a hike up at Red rocks just to see the views. There’s the lil downtown Morrison just below Red rocks you can check out too. The botanic gardens are probably blooming and gorgeous right now. I live just West of Chatfield Res, so definitely recommend paddle boarding. Water level is insanely high!
-lake Dillon, Breckenridge will be nice scenery/drives
-you could take a drive up to Mt Evans, which is a 14er and one of many in CO.
-Roxborough state park is gorgeous and not super crowded (usually)
-food: Cheba hut (sub sandwiches and local chain), Lucile’s (Creole breakfast and close at 2 pm, also local chain), 9th door (tapas), Reckless Noodle house, Humboldt kitchen, Postino, Denver biscuit.
-Drinks: we are brewery country! Lots of breweries and pubs around. TRVE brewery on Broadway is cool metal aesthetic, Prost, or you could take a Coors beer tour!
Bars: Thin Man, Welton room, Marigold, The Infinite Monkey Theorem (winery, but fun!)

Welcome to CO, Taylor! You missed all of the non-stop rain. It would have made you think that you were back in Seattle or dealing with the June Gloom of San D. It’s usually really dry here (high desert with high altitude, but always good hair days!) and rarely this green. 🌳🪴🌿 Water and fluids are a must, especially if you drive up to the mountains and to stave off your migraines. Places that my Japanese hubby and I love: Blue Pan Pizza off of 12th and Madison and right across from them is Sweet Cooie’s ice cream parlor. The interior is so super cute. Like an old time-y shop from the 1930’s or 40’s. Smokin’ Yards BBQ off of Santa Fe and Ellsworth, going north towards downtown. Their OG location is in Idaho Springs, which is I-70 West into the mountains. Sushi Den is good, but they’ve been better in the past (pre-Panini). Lots of great restaurants near Sushi Den on Pearl Street. Some Japanese people that we know own the Tokyo Premium Bakery on Pearl Street and they have great breads that you would find in Japan and matcha lattes. It’s kind of hard to find at first, but it’s in the building connected to the parking garage (1540 S. Pearl in Denver. There’s also a Pearl Street in Boulder). Downtown Denver is a little sketchy now plus they’re doing a lot of road construction, so shopping is better elsewhere. Close to the Wash Park scene would be Cherry Creek and Cherry Creek North (although parking sucks so be forewarned). Hope that you have fun here! xoxo Christine in sunny (FINALLY!) CO ♥️

Gradys is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE! Theyre based in NYC so we get their cold brew pretty quickly. My hubby and i have been drinking gradys for 8 years. Once you have it, nothing else is as good. I make my own syrup to go with it so the sugar doesnt make a quicksand at the bottom. Enjoy
