I cleaned my closet out this weekend. My husbands and daughters, too! Felt so good to get rid of stuff. I manage a shelter for DV victims. Took all the clothing and jewelry and skincare to them. They loved it!! ❤ Hugs!
can't wait to see the apartment when it's all done!! I moved from Canada to South Texas with just my suitcases of clothes in 2022 for almost 2 years while finishing school. It was fun to start fresh in a new apartment so I totally get that. I recently had to get rid of everything and move back home to Canada while I wait to see where I will be working. In June I'll be moving again and restarting with a whole new apartment! New chapters are fun. Enjoy

I agree, she shouldn't stress about it but I was honestly concerned when I didn't see anything from her for almost 2 weeks, mostly because she's always so consistent with her uploads 😵💫 I kept wondering if it was just the chaos of the move or if something bad had happened. I'm so happy (and relieved) to see that she's doing ok 😊

Ok those bathroom remodels give me so much hope! I really want to redo my bathroom but it always seems so daunting (and expensive)! But I love that they completely redid them without really tearing down walls, and just changing the vanities and retiling, paint, etc. It makes a HUGE difference!
Your dad is so adorable !!! He needs his own channel 😂😂 what an awesome spot for the laundry for them !! You can change those doors yourself !! Very easy to do ..
Taylor, if you have enough hardwood floors or laminate or just not carpet… The best home thing I ever bought was my floor steamer it’s a plug-in about the size of a wet jet. However the pads are re-washable and it sanitizes the floor with the steam, so you never need cleaner! I’ve never had floors so clean. I have the shark one that I got on Amazon the best purchase I ever made. It is a game changer. No more mopping no more cleaner fluid no more pads to buy !
I just moved last week, so these vlogs are great for me to watch while I’m organizing my new apartment too! Keeping me motivated to get everything done. It’s definitely hard to keep up with normal life as well as moving, but having a cute new place that feels like home is worth it.

Beautiful remodel! ❤It’s incredible that it was all done in two months! I’ve never heard of it being done on time or in such a short period. Your parents must have been very organized and had professional builders.
I just bought some refrigerator shelves because of you. I've been trying to figure out how to make my coffee/tea station neater. This solved so many issues and it's a lot cheaper than counter shelves.
The renovation looks so good - sidenote it‘s pretty easy to change the way the doors open on the washer (at least in germany). Your dad/mom should look into that. ❤

I find it so funny how aesthetics have changed! 😅 I grew up in South Florida with terrazzo floors, we hated them because they are cold, hard, and definitely not soundproof. But, practical for a tropical climate!

You might check into it .but I think you can change the washer , dryer door swing. We were able to change our dryer. Something to check into

You should be able to reverse the doors on the washer and dryer. We have front loaders, and the doors can be attached on either side because every laundry room set up is different. They confirmed with me what direction I wanted them to open. I hope that makes sense

FYI the dryer door is made to be easily switched to either side, just a few screws. My husband switched mine so doors wouldn’t hit.

TJ Maxx/Marshall’s/Homegoods are the best places for nice towels (and sheets/bedding). Also, you can totally throw those mits in the washer and dryer. I have had the same ones for about 5 years and do it all the time!

2 Things:
1) The BEST Antiperspirant & Deodorant combo you'll ever find is "Mitchum Advanced Invisible Unscented Roll On". Don't let the fact that it's a "roll on" deter you from trying it. It dries fast and it keeps you dry all day AND all night. You will have absolutely NO odor. You have to try it. I can't vouch for the stick or gel version but please just try the roll on. I dare you! 😋
2) I also use those vacuum sealable bags more specifically for my growing collection of bed linens My question is, Do you find that your clothing smells when you open the bag no matter how little or how long it's been sealed? If so, How do you prevent that stale smell on your sealed items when you open the bag? You haven't touched on that, if it is a problem or not.
As I mentioned, I keep all of my extra linens in the vacuum bags to free up space (I have 2 sets of mink sheets for the fall/winter and for the spring/summer, I have another 6 or 7 sets of sheets). Several of those sets are especially for the hotter summer months. That bedding is particularly to use to stay cool throughout those high temps.
PS, Now that you're back in the Northwest you'll want to have some mink sheets for the colder months. They're so soft.

Doing a big move tomorrow so I’ve been sorting, packing, and donating for a few days. Feels nice to let go of old things and lighten the load a bit! But at the same time, this is my 14th move and I’m so ready to not do this anymore. lol. Congrats on making it to your new place, have fun getting settled in!!

I have naturally curly hair and it is damadged/bleached. I use Not Your Mother's Tough Love Bonding system and it is a total game changer! I've been using it for about 6 months now and it has helped a lot. I've tried K18, Livingproof bond repair, and Olaplex and I prefer the Not Your Mother's brand over all of those. It can be found at Ulta and it is in a white and pink bottle.
Your new color is looking great too by the way. Love that you still have contrast, but it is a little softer.

Homesource Bath sheets are THE softest towels. They’re what interior designers love. ( I worked in a design firm) They get softer the more you wash them. They’re more money than Target, as they’re considered a “designer brand” but I’ll tell ya they are WORTH every penny. Get the bath sheets, they’re bigger and so much more luxurious. Especially if you’re tall. ;)

For the shower, you may be able to pull the shower switch before you turn on the water. Ours is older and we are able too. Maybe the new ones are different though.

You should totally do a no buy year for clothes/accessories. You could do videos on capsule wardrobes for the different seasons with the clothes you already have. Maybe a low buy for makeup like Kelly Gooch. She makes like limits to how many new things she can get in different categories. I’d love to see that!

I don't know if you'll see this but it's really easy to flip the doors on a front load washer and dryer you can TH-cam it and it'll walk you thru it

Question for a Q&A! Would you have done things differently if you knew you would be traveling for longer? Your plans changed so much over time!
For the shower, I wonder if they can put a lever in that just stays up for the shower and then if someone wants a bath, they just move it down before turning on the water. I would also be super annoyed about those laundry doors. As much as I do laundry, I wouldn’t be able to work around that. The people who didn’t wrong should fix that. I also think you can choose the direction of the doors when ordering most machines. Loved seeing your updates!!
