- The holidays just wouldn't be the same without over-the-top light displays, but where there's an elaborate display, a Grinch may be lurking. In Manhattan, a plastic reindeer has been singing "Jingle Bells" non-stop, driving neighbors nuts. One explosion of holiday spirit in Kingman, Arizona, is best appreciated when viewed from above thanks to the magnificent lighting display that contains 135,000 lights controlled by 50 computers. However, neighbors have asked the festive display be toned down. #InsideEdition

There is a house that if you turn it to a certain radio station the light display will 'dance' to the music. They dedicated that to their unborn twin.

I would get pretty annoyed as well, just imagine having to hear that all day everyday or have those lights flashing when you're trying to sleep

I used to have some neighbors that did the exact same thing but instead of playing music from their speakers they let you listen through a radio station so only you could hear

We had a neighbor like this but they moved. They didn’t play music, so they weren’t annoying. In my neighborhood, ya could literally say “Let’s walk past the house,” and people knew what ya were talking about.

This person in my neighborhood has mini santas on her roof, blow up santas blow up reindeer and a small house with a Santa. And more..... Half of the stuff they don't even take down after X-mas

Having done something similar on a much smaller scale for 10 years now, i am all for this! Others don’t quite understand how much work goes into this even in my case and I can’t even image how much it takes to make these displays.
YES! Music keeps me occupied and it's my drug to help me pass the time when I'm bored doing another task.

The cool thing that they did in my town is have a car ride through a light show and the music... well it came from the radio, the music from the radio was perfectly timed with a radio station that you had to listen to, to not make people go insane. I loved that Idea

What I think is that as long as they do it for at least 30 minutes to probably an hour of playing the music and such.
Just turn off everything and leave the little Christmas lights on the house and that's it. I mean its common sense.

there is a house in my city that has a huge light display and its own facebook page and the neighbors just have a small sign of lights that say "ditto"

I think there should be a time where you have to turn your lights off by. Plus those lights with the loud music would be annoying if you’re up at work early etc.
I think it would be cool maybe only on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve...but every day is kind of overkill.
