Just a little information. The ex wife's new boyfriend, the one taking them to Boston, is Cary Elwes. You might know him from a little movie called "The Princess Bride". He was Westley/The Dread Pirate Roberts. I figured you might not have recognized him.
All America has to do is all buy Cakes and just make a wish all that the same time and next thing you know you’ll get all the truth out of the whole Government… 😆🤷🏻♂️
One of my favorites of all time! When me and my bestie first got our apartment in college, we couldn’t afford cable and the only DVD we had from home was Liar Liar, and we watched it nine million times lol. I know every word!
I'm assuming this is y'alls first child on the way, congratulations! Remember that kids measure the love of their parents in time spent with them, not what you buy them. Never miss a moment that you don't absolutely have to or you'll always regret it. You guys are about to see that you only thought you were happy but you're about to find out what true happiness and true love really are. God bless you two and the little one!!!
You guys should watch Ace Ventura Pet Detective. Regardless of whether or not you react to it. It’s a super funny movie. Oh and the rubber band around the baseball mit is to help break in the mit. They’re usually pretty stiff when new.
I was so sad at the end when you stopped the movie. Jim Carrey and Jackie Chan are well known for showing the bloopers at the end of the movie. They are always very funny, including this one! I am just sorry it will take so long between stopping the movie too soon and reading this reply to go back, if possible to watch the bloopers. 😞😞👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠❤❤
@@chancemaybeIf that is the case, he should say that during the reaction. EVERYBODY else either watches the bloopers during the reaction OR they don't because they are unaware that they exist! That is why I commented that they didn't react and the fact that Jim Carrey movies and Jackie Chan movies ALWAYS have bloopers at the end!! 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠❤❤
New baseball gloves can be kind of stiff. When you get a new glove, it's common to use glove oil to soften it up and put a baseball inside the webbing and wrap a band around it so that the webbing creates a nice pocket for the ball. It's just part of breaking in your new glove.
The bloopers on this movie are hilarious. Also I don’t know if you guys noticed but the almost step-dad is played by Carey Elwes (Princess Bride and Men in Tights).
@@mikesterling729 yup. Though I’m not a horror fan so I never watched those ones. He was also in at least one episode of Law & Order (though that’s the case for almost every actor). I’m not sure if it was regular or SVU, but it was the one that starts off with the father dropping his young son off at home when he gets attacked once he gets inside. The boy runs to his mom’s room, finds her dead, then runs into a panic room and locks the door.
Near the end when Fletcher's on the gurney, look carefully to see Jim Carrey's Fire Chief character from his years on In Living Color cavorting in the background.
I remember back in 1997, I was visiting my grandma in California and I saw a big poster for Liar Liar at the Dairy Queen. I didn't realize it was a movie at the time cause I was only 8
You guys are just the cutest couple and I thoroughly enjoy watching y’all! The look James got with the whole pregnancy and cow thing had me in stitches😂. But James is right, you look absolutely beautiful! ❤
When Jim Carrey accepted the award for best comedic actor, he did so while still portraying this character lol.. he was trying to be humble in his speech but the truth kept blurting out about how everyone should be jealous and they all wish they were as talented as him hahaha. The other actors in the audience were cracking up with laughter the whole time. Especially Adam Sandler
Btw the dorky guy that was moving to Boston is Wesley from Princess Bride. I'm writing this pretty early on in the video, so I don't know if you mention that later or not
Aside from the classic Jim Carrey slapstick, this movie convinced me, even before The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine, that Jim could play a human being rather than just an over the top cartoon character come to life. For this movie to work, his relationship with his son in the movie has to work. He has to come off like a real dad, not just Jim Carrey goofing off around a kid. Sure, when he's "the Claw," he's Jim Carrey doing his shtick, but he's acting like you would think Jim would as a father. So when he says "I'm a bad father," that means something. For the dramatic moments later on to work and not just be filler, he has to be a believable dad. I think he pulls it off. You see more of that in Bruce Almighty, where if his relationship with Jennifer Aniston doesn't come off as genuine, none of the comedy means anything. In both cases, the relationships work, so the comedy works and the movies work.
Jim Carrey is not slapstick! I’m so sick of people saying that. he’s talent, anybody can do slapstick. But nobody can do what Jim Carrey can. That’s what makes him the best… no other comedian can do what he can
I haven't seen this movie since the 2000s and I still love it. One of Jim Carrey's best. It shows off his ridiculous physical comedy style without reaching levels like Ace Ventura which some might call annoying.
Great reaction! Anything by Jim Carrey is good honestly. I'd recommend Dumb and Dumber and Bruce Almighty. They are both hilarious and pretty light-hearted, but for one of his that is more of a drama then you can't go wrong with The Truman Show.
If you want to do another Jim Carrey movie I highly recommend The Truman Show it's a great movie that shows his acting skills and a god sent of a reaction when you react to it blind not knowing anything about it whatsoever.
Always love your reactions, so much I liked & subscribed. Two favorite Jim Carrey movies, Dumb and Dumber, then the serious side of Jum Carry would be Truman. Those two show the range of what Jim Carrey can do. Can't wait for your next reaction, thank you!
I recall seeing a comment from Steven Spielberg many years ago who said that under a director who could keep him under control Jim Carrey could be one of the finest dramatic actors of his generation. Seems that never quite happened, as his straight dramatic roles were few and not overly memorable (frankly, only one springs to mind at all), but as a straight-up comedian he was always incredible. The best comedians have that ingrained talent to connect with people on a fairly fundamental level, so if they can channel that into drama rather than comedy their dramatic roles can be as good or better than their comedic ones. Case in point - Robin Williams.
Umm… the Truman Show?? Did you not see that? That is one of the most praised and beloved movies of all time. And it’s the most popular dramatic Jim Carrey movie. If you’ve never seen or even heard of the Truman Show then you don’t know Jim Carrey’s talent
@TheBeesleys99 this movie was made in the 90's during Jim Carrey mania....he was an SNL cast member & In Living Color....his 90s movies are 'The Mask' 'Ace Ventura' franchise 'Cable Guy' 'Dumb & Dumber' franchise....'The Pen Is Blue' one of the best movie line deliveries....every time I watch the Bathroom Beatdown scene I laugh just as hard as the first time I saw it....I suggest checking out 'Yes Man' & 'Fun with Dick & Jane'

This movie was from 1997
You two should see Jim Carry's underrated dark comedy The Cable Guy!
One of Carrey's absolute finest works. It combined his slapstick comedy, with real heart.
When you said Carrey I thought Drew Carrey. Nah Jim Carrey. Pfft
Jim Carrey is not slapstick! I’m so sick of people saying that. He’s talented! Anybody can do slapstick, nobody can do what Jim Carrey can
DANCES WITH WOLVES, won Best Picture Oscar 1990, Best Director, cinematography, and whole bunch of acting nominations. It's classic. So is APOLLO 13.
That moment when he says "I'm a bad father.", and it hits him that he really IS one...the look of realization dawning on his face, it's heartbreaking.

Fun fact: That entire roast scene with the boss was almost entirely improvised by Jim Carrey
