I Like the team expectations, almost like.
Top teams: Win races and championships NOW.
Average teams: You can win a race if you can but just focus on getting points often.
Low level teams: Just finish the race and dont crash so many cars please.
For my first time playing a F1 game I too went for a low team (Mclaren Honda).

Use cockpit cam! You can adjust the angles in the settings and it makes the game much more realistic

That's the Quali fuel mixture that the teams use in real life to boost their pace in Qualifying.
Actually it was a suggestion while beta testing. Good to see it made the game :D
It would be way more realistic if it's only available for Mercedes powered cars.

I own F1 2016 (didnt play an F1 game for a loong time, since the last really good one, whichever year that was, on the 360).
But with the new car designs and rules in the 2017 season, im really tempted to get this.
Kinda funny, how the real world sport changes, makes the GAME more interesting to buy.
No longer just about numbers or fiddly statistics, its about how the entire sport and cars feel.
i think starting the career mode before the first patch updating the teams performance is a mistake

ashbest122 Why? It's very much possible. Aarav won in the Marrusia in 3 seasons (Road to Glory 2012). Ben won in lower rank cars in only a few seasons. It can happen, it's not impossible. Consistent points in the first year, podiums in the second, and wins in the third, with a little bit of luck, the title could just be won.
The new r&d is much different, you will need 5 seasons or so to make a bad team good as it is much harder to upgrade the car with a number of resource points you need. Also not to mention parts can fail so you have to pay for them again. This game goes much more in depth and makes the upgrading process much longer and realistic. That is my reasoning.

Well.... Using the McLaren well my dad's McLaren lawnmower broke down so hopefully the car works better than the lawnmower. PS love you Ben and I hope you keep growing and keep up the great work also I'm getting the game on Friday and I'm driving for Haas :D

Ben, the reason you were told to pit for inters was because you set the tyres to inters on next stop, then when you had bad tyre way it automatically goes onto the tyres you selected, it doesn't take the teams decision into consideration

Good first race of the season. I do apologise how late I am to watching F1 2017 content because I didn't want to watch F1 2017 content until the proper release date otherwise it wouldn't be very fair. I think this career mode will be your biggest challenge yet and I'm intrigued how it will pan out. To bring McLaren to the top again within ten seasons is almost impossible but I believe you can prove the critics wrong - Best of luck, Ben! 🙂👍

Definitely my favourite F1 gaming channel! The game looks absolutely perfect! I was afraid of that whole new R&D process to be to complicated but it's great! Ben you just keep going mate, you are doing wonderful job and that's why your channel is the only one I actually watch on reviews and gameplay.
