That would be interesting... Making real open source project of this, imo just rescaling and rework game into UE4/5 which support today HW would be fokin awesome. Would be mindblowned if they run and open server with that... I would love to pay subscription on server like that, lets say about 10-15€ month.

I love it, the theme of all this will be how stable your FPS will be in a massive PVP of 200vs200, it would be good if you included some lights when it gets dark and the sky looks as if it were night and in the cities and Citios the lights look a little more relevant
you MUST continue with this project, is pure gold! it shows you´re master in your craft

You could maybe make it a series where you do this with all the starting zones, those are so... unique

Looks amazing! I love the upgrades while maintaining a high fidelity to the original.
I did something very simmilar in the past. I've also added some VR stuff to run arround in Talking Island. I have lots of old code laying arround which parses stuff directly from the gameclient. If you are interested, just let me know (i also wrote some kind of sound manager which mimics the environment sound from the game). My biggest issue back than was the parsing of the custom geometry (the brushes from the editor). You did a very nice job!

Man this looks so gooooooood. This is how I remember L2 looking back then xD. The WASD movement I disliked it in any mmo tho T_T it's click to move had a charm to the character.
watching this made me tear up, god i wish we had remaster version like diablo 2 ressurected team did,amazing job man,i know we have throne and liberty , but its nowhere near as good as old l2

This game was my childhood game, i love it so much!!! Me and my mates never stoped playing the game even now that we are all in our fourties. I have been wishing for so long for a full remake of the game with better graphics, better animations, etc! Please dont give up on this project and i promise you me and my full clan will play it!

The trees clash a bit with the grass, but it's a small detail. Awesome job.

Played L2 when it went live. Free week and still didn't get to leave TI. People formed lines to kill the same mob over and over. Then I found private servers and that made it much more enjoyable.

I am creating custom Lineage 2 client using Unity as well, unlike in a vid visuals are more like original, so it can even be confused, looking at the screens. It is created on a paid basis and is intended to be used in conjunction with a real L2 server. If you wish i can share screens.

This is a great work of art. Not too different from a painting. You are recreating something beautiful while still wanting to give it an original twist.
Almost a year ago I started studying programming on my own. So far I thought I was only meant to solve problems and create solutions, never have I wondered about the idea of creating something beautiful with it.
This really motivates me to endure the headaches and push through, despite the hardships and frustration.

I only just found your videos and as someone who's always had a recurring interest in this game and finding myself doing more side-projects with the games I love (nowhere near as in-depth as you, but like modding and things), I absolutely love seeing you progressing this project. Love the combat at the end.. I'm glad you didn't go for 1-1 copy. Imagine this combat with same-ish classes and skills...
I played lineage 2 with my friends for 10 years, mostly H5 version, i had the best childhood & teen years and i would go back anytime to play those 9v9, Epic Raid Boss, TW & Siege events .
L2 is never boring if it actually gets updated from time to time, I don’t mean fancy animations, we see those in every game nowdays, and yet we prefer to turn them off.
If you need any time of assistance please let me know, ill do my best to contribute in any way possible, i know for sure any OG L2 player will enjoy L2 with bette graphics but same game concept.
