hello all and dear bbc, I have a question. Hope someone could help me.
' That's not how we do where I am from'.
In this sentence, I can't see a noun before where. Is anything missing? Someone told me it leaves out ' in the place' . But could we leave out the preposition as well?
Secondly, in the video, 3:10, it says we can also replace it with preposition and which. In this sense, is it right to say' That's not how we do in which I am from?' and why shouldn't we move the from before where to become, That's not how we do from where I am.' ( sounds weird)
And lastly, could I say ' the place which I am from' and move ' from' before which to become ' the place from which I am' ? And can ' from which' in the last one become 'where' , which somewhat changes the meaning I suppose???
